Bullet train is requires exorbitant investment and would not be right move for any govt in pakistan to implement it, given the state of economy. For that matter even in India with its financial chest it will take atleast a decade to see first set of bullet trains operational.

The actual cost of building a bullet train from Karachi to Peshawar with related infrastructure will cost between $70 to 80 billion!! It's better if Nawaz utilizes this money on health, education and poverty alleviation.

Does he know that the fare for traveling in a bullet train would be almost the same as air fare? Can the ordinary folk afford it? No! It will just be another expensive means of transport meant only for the rich.

In other words it's a bad idea. Nawaz is selling dreams only for political brownie points.

Huh ? Trying and failing ? Its not trying and failing. A stupid plan made by duffers is bound to fail. Trying the same thing and failing repeatedly is a big sign of a useless moron who has no clue of how to run the government. PPP has done a lot of work as compared to this flop incumbent government and has done it successfully despite supreme court's biased interventions and propaganda stirred by biased media in collaboration with opposition parties.
