ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a meeting of the federal cabinet today (Tuesday) during which a 19-point agenda will be discussed.
During the cabinet meeting, approval is expected to be accorded for a ban on the broadcast of Indian Premier League (IPL) matches in Pakistan.
The cabinet will also give the go-ahead for the establishment of Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Division.
Approval is also expected to be granted for transferring the development budget of erstwhile FATA to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and National Electric Power Regulatory Authority's (NEPRA) decision to fix a tariff. Federal cabinet expected to ban broadcast of IPL in Pakistan
The appointment of a new chief executive of the national carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will also come under discussion.
As per the agenda, the cabinet will also be briefed on the prices of essential commodities.
