I agree with you on one part but at the same time they are destroying our property. This is an act of treason which should go unpunished. And judging by the videos the police seems incapable to tackle the situation. If in the mainland the PLA would have been out by now.

while for sure HK police are clearly strugling with the riots but I believe the issue is more than just a lack of personnel but a lack of political will, if they really do lack personnel then they could just hire a private security company either from the mainland or from outside China to send dozens of thousands of additional manpower with funding from HK taxpayers, that is why I said the PLA is not needed, the mainland should not pay a single Yuan for that.
