My comment was about the mid 80's---your comment is as of now---would you please look into it if we had it at that time, if you can---.
But as you explained----shi-t happens---as it did---so don't fly across the path of a missile.
Yes we did..
Our F-16's have had IFF interrogators since they arrived..
And it might be the fault of the trigger happy leader as well..
But again.. it was combat..and the ROE's in the Afghan war allowed for a window of opportunity of but a few seconds.
