If I only had one, all purpose survival weapon for when the zombie apocalypse happens, it would be the AK-47. I have owned a couple of them, although I own a Russian SKS now, (also a great "survival" weapon.). The AK has a few faults, poor sights, safety lever is REALLY loud, but it is indestructible, absolutely reliable, and easy to maintain. I also prefer the 7.62 x 39 to the 5.56 calibre.
