I am German and I will say we won't join Russia, China in terms of a military alliance but more of economics. I like both Russia and China, they have nice awesome people but a military alliance would never ever happen.
we have been aggravated at the US before, such as Trump trying to tell us to pay for the US's military bases here and US's NSA spying on our politicians etc.
my theory is if we ever get tired of NATO, instead of joining another alliance just remain Neutral.

let me explain this even USSR under the cold war was proposing a Neutral Germany, following similar as Austria, which meant we could be neutral but we had to build our own weapons, which meant we had to militarily neutral not aligning with Eastern Warsaw Pact or Western NATO but it failed.
really we are only big NATO because we have several US bases and we have the HQ for the European Missile defence shield

Germany joining China is pure fantasy because the Chinese would rather go down the drain than joining any military alliance. Germany with Russia is a more realistic scenario but Uk, France and Poland would do everything to stop a second Hitler-Stalin pact.

The EU army is a brainchild of the French. The idea: creating an European independent army led by the French. One should know France is not a member of NATO. Another fantasy. Russia land army is 10 times bigger than the entire NATO forces in Western Europe. How can a weak EU army with a strength of 1 or 2 divisions do anything?
