Facing weak market share, Ford to exit Japan, Indonesia this year

.

You think profits mean something?

I'm talking about actual cars that have a meaning and presence.

ford, being the epitome of american auto industry,

I have a lot of GM fan buddies who will like to talk to you about that :D

You might really enjoy this episode covering japan + germany (axis) versus US and UK (allies) in post war period w.r.t automobiles

a form of traditional dance we refer to as 剣詩舞 or ken shi bu, it usually indicates emotional expression of resistance. i suppose it is symbolic of japanese auto industry's resistance and victory of american auto industry in japan. ford, being the epitome of american auto industry, its defeat in japan is symbolic.

Love it. Thank you for your explanation bro. Japanese cars all the way! I've always loved Honda, I actually worked for Toyota as a security guard(part0time) when I was a student at university. The Japanese bosses treated me so well.

Not really bro. Japanese and Indonesian have better taste in cars. That is why Ford failed in these two countries. This is positive news

Such a shame tho, didn't Pontiac and Saturn also close? :(

They had way too many divisions. Each would put slightly different body panels on the same car. So when the top selling car lists came out they'd never be close to the top since they'd be divided among divisions.

Even the GMC Yukon you mentioned is a rebadged Chevy Tahoe. Now imagine that split by four.

In Indonesia it is Toyota that eat the most market share. They also have factory in here.
