In a recent development, it looks that Facebook has taken down the controversial page, which had caused protest from Muslim world, across the globe.

Yesterday evening page went down for a short span of time due to some glitch, which was latter fixed.

As anticipated, there are other pages already created with same aim, which they are calling back up pages.

Its quite long since the page hasn’t appeared back – so we may consider that Faecbook ultimately decided to remove the page. However, Facebook blog hasn’t published anything relating to the issue to officially confirm the removal of blasphemous page.

Update: CNN’s ireport confirms (though un-vetted story) that Facebook has withdrawn the page from its website.

Update 2: American news agency, AP confirms that blasphemous page has been removed from the Facebook, not by the Facebook administration but maybe the creator himself deleted the page.

Out Take: It is impossible to believe, as how come the creator deleted the page and then started a new page from Zero again. It is interesting to note that Facebook didn’t announce the removal of this page officially.

The page wasn't taken down by Facebook. Here is the post on the group for those who are interested

Welcome to Facebook | Facebook

This page
was removed two days ago, after one of our moderators had his email and skype
hacked. His personal data was revealed. He then got scared and deleted the
...page, the blog and the emails. The rest of us, are now back without him after
he backed out. This is another scare tactic from the Islamic
extremists. We won't fall.

Edit: Just to be clear. The page is back up again.

ha ha ha... if it was up to me ,i would have murdered him/her the day he/she came with that idea!,seriously i had murdered him/her by not from gun but from a knife! cut his/her throat n put his cutted head's pictures on net so the world can see ,if you dare to disrespect my PROPHET HAZART MUHAMMAD (PEACE BE UPON HIM) you will face the same faith!,

what kind of ill thinking you have "disrespecting religions = freedom of speech" foolishness! ,i respect all religions because its what i learned from my religion, but i can't forgive the one who try to disrespect it intentionally!...

with no offense,

that was funny

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

yaar i don't know for how long you are going to last in this forum but i can tell you - Violence is never a solution of any problem. If they have done something wrong - Let Allah decide their fate

I don't agree with you - i am perhaps more lover of my Prophet than you but then again i would always want to see these peoples dragged in international court in accusation of Phycological damage of Muslims but killing him ruthlessly will only worsen these matters.

Read this statement of the Saudi Scholar and i fully agree with him

Two pages with same name were created ...one of them which had more than 100,000 fans seems to have bin taken down...the other one with around 17,500 fans is still up.

well you might be right, above statements "are writen in sudden anger",well ALLAH will decide thier fate, but don't you think as a muslim it our duty to shut their mouths n such acts!,i am 100% sure if they have taken it down or not, after sometime they will come up with something different with same cause, and then most of us will say ignore them? ,i can't agree with such attitude" oh they are ill minded people ignore them!" why ignore them are we sleeping they are disrespecting our prophet! who the hell they are? and who gave them such kind of right when muslim are there.

i will like to see facebook to be banned atleast for one year, though its good communicating platform but its not the only one out there on net. and in some later forums people were saying "you like to go to stone age?" huh funny like our youth eyes will be shut if they don't use youtube or facebook. these are the only info based sites out there without it we will go to stone age (BS!) :disagree:

Why such a fascist attitude jnd3x0? ("Censor or ban everything I don't like!")

Your faith can't be so weak that it is so easily shaken by a couple of pictures, so why are you unable to let people who think different just be?

You have no right whatsoever to tell other people what to say or not to say and your religious rules are of no concern to Christians, Jews and Atheists, just as theirs are of no concern to you.

Reflect and you might agree that Mohammad would want you to stop behaving like a psychopath, what is exactly what you are doing now.

"who the hell gave them the right" Well we have free speech, we gave ourselves the right, we actually fought for it hundreds of years to gain this right and end the tyranny of church and religion. Just like you might one day(hopefully soon), to fight the power of the Imams that are clawing away at your progress and prosperity.

Oh and since you are a believer let me ask you, why you think you need to act on this and can't ignore it.
Is Allah so powerless he needs you mere mortal to do his work for him?
