Face Veil removal request in Western Countries

Hi,

That is incorrect information---. Only the wives of the prophet started doing that.

First and foremost is order in the society---so that the rule of law can be imposed---and equality in justice---.

.
Your idea of bringing Zarwan is rubbish. My thread has gone from 'a sensible move for women in West to remove the Niqab' to 'it's FARZ will be till day of judgement!'

You were fine when people were calling the hijab/niqab an abomination, you were fine when people were calling the attire "cancer / shit" (the exact words of one poster) but your mad about the posts made by @Zarvan bhai. Why the selective outrage baji hazoor ... :P

On a serious note though, in PDF your lucky if a thread on some social/ current events section goes 15+ pages, your thread has produced a good discussion, and yes there will always be people who will derail a thread, that is more or less the norm. Welcome to the wonderful world of internet :)

As far as the whole thing about 'a sensible move for women in West to remove the Niqab', well guess what, there is no credible argument on your side for that matter other than "security reasons". As soon as the same security reasons (in reverse against skimpy clothing) are brought up in front of women (especially feminists) to prevent the likelihood of sexual assault etc. the argument you get is " You misogynist! ... Your victim blaming" ... I've already posted videos of TSA showing what happens when you give up your liberty in the name of security. The rest is up to you, it's your decision to make and not ours to begin with.

Hi,

Sir, who are you trying to kid? Go and read the poem on the statue of liberty and then talk about how you "don't claim to be the chosen one" ... or just revisit your reasoning for intervening in conflicts ... whats the pet sentence ... "we're going to bring freedom and democracy to xyz country" .. oh and don't start with the whole religion thing when president Bush, a guy you people put in office was the same one who claimed that "God told me to end the tyranny in Iraq" ...

-Again, your just typing stuff that comes to your mind based on your experience. Your judging 200 million people based on your experience of a few. I'm not surprised to see that you have no answers for FACTS, statistics that say that every 98 seconds a woman is sexually assaulted in YOUR country while every 8 minutes that victim just happens to be a kid. Smells like hypocrisy to me, which shouldn't really surprise anyone. I mean what is it now "Chemical weapons are bad" unless it's the US nuking Japan or dropping Napalm on children of Vietnam. Should I remind people about the acts of the priests of the Roman Catholic churches as well ? Genocide is bad unless it's you guys committing it against the red Indians ... Inequality is bad until it's the blacks on the receiving end, be it 300 years of slavery with lynching of black men or raping black women or police shootings of black kids in the modern day etc etc. Better not say something about Israel because it's 'anti Semitic', but when it came time to act you were the same ones that barred the jews fleeing from Nazi Germany to enter in to the US. The US loves to talk about the horrors of concentration camps, but you were the same ones that put Japanese Americans in internment camps. And as far as the story regarding your colleague, let's not forget that YOUR people just elected someone who said " I grab them by the pu$$y" .. He was the republican nominee, a party with the conservative/ religious people as their base... and btw how do YOU know that 200 million of us aren't doing anything to correct or better the conditions at play, just look at the mind set of the average pdf member and you can see where he or she stands on what you mentioned.

Like I said before, if you can stereotype my countrymen by the worst among us, do note that we can respond in kind, with interest.

Hi,

They don't claim to be God's chosen ones---the Fort of Islam---. Pakistan and paksiatnis do---. That is where the difference is.

.
When people are filled with conspiracy theories don't want to listen to others and think of everyone as a danger to Islam and Pakistan than sanity goes out of the window.

It really shouldn't otherwise it's just a waste of time.

I think it is just frustration on the most part rather lack of understanding.

. .
Exactly that was my point we should not go for a Saudi approach the system we have is good we should improve it in gender equality department and implement laws better

In Pakistan you can wear hijab, niqab or be without head dress state doesnot force it onto its population to dress in a certain way and that is great i wouldnt support the govt if it went the Saudi direction

Yes we have to work with our own culture , Our country is only 70 years old , It will take time but we will improve , And As I always said Implementation of Law (and order) is the most important thing.
We like it that way (with or without hijab , niqab) its our culture too , Who is changing it? Govt just cant do that? We already have enough problems , I am sure person with his right mind will not start new one because of this.

.
Logic and rationale smashes to pieces when emotions take over fully ... such is life, right?

Don't we know that already so why do we keep falling for it?

Everyone goes to his/her own grave. Be thankful that we will only answer to our own deeds.

.
Well I'm looking forward to see Non-muslims in Europe wearing a veil...by pure Fashion... Like they did back in the 12-14th century...

I was referring to the current climate Bhai Jaan due to the current situation, I also said that I do not support any movement of abolishing it and will legally defend the rights of those who wish and choose to wear it, miss that bit? It's all in the first post.

Security reasons yes, but even in the West there is still a limitation; people don't roam about publicly naked no matter how liberal or secular they are.

I took on board arguments with valid points.

Face covering = hoodies, helmets are banned.

Burkini when banned had an outcry not just from Muslim women but also other women too and men who supported the movement by wearing Scuba diving suits. Their rights were stood up and therefore the SC of Paris abolished it.

You are right, as always and I respect you for your wisdom.

Human nature I guess is the answer. The two voices in our heads, one that prays on our emotions to lead us astray and the other that guides us to the right deeds - not many pay attention to those and very few even recognise the fact there are two voices to begin with. But then moment of lapses are inevitable. It's a strive.

Yes, thankfully all answerable for own deeds.

.
I dont think that many women wear veil overall. Bty if you want to commit crime better wear a motorcycle casket

.
OP's argument is retarded.

Ski masks are permissible but face veils are not?
