Each topic, one at a time would be a start but with emotions in complete check and any personal biases outside the discussion. If one doesn't have anything to say if disagreeing (i.e. no supporting statement), then do not participate.

How about that as a rule? I can abide easily by that.

Oh?

Were we fighting? lol

Just chill out...

No, we never fought just I owed your backside but hey ho

Let's get this thread back on track.

There's been incidents recently were Men have abused the Niqab and some women have also endangering other people's lives.

The police don't know how to approach the Muslim Women here (and this isn't America where the police is pretty violent -it causes distrust amongst communities). A terror incident took place but was prevented before any damage could have been done and it was done using the Niqab attire.

All the police have requested is yes legally they won't ask you to remove it but due to the CURRENT climate - morally for the safety and comfort and to make their job easier and prevent any suspicious/racial profiling can they just remove it.

I Honestly don't think there's anything wrong in this.

The discussion wasn't if it was Compulsory or not BUT if it's acceptable in this moment in time for them to do so.

Which I personally think it is. As Muslims living in the West, one should not draw further attention and guess what? Though you admit that the Niqab is a purpose of 'preventing attention' it works the opposite over here. Which therefore defeats it's whole purpose.

We will carve out our own path

And in our country you are free by law to be a niqabi or not wear any head cover

@Divergent1 yahan is type ki discussion roz roz ka kaam hy kuch months tak adi ho jao gi :D

Sheikh every one is free in Pakistan, unless that person don't violate Law of the land and Don't act against sovereignty of Pakistan. Other people ( I mean all) also have to understand this . And we have very beautiful Culture too, Full with cultural norms and values ,very diverse culture , But we do have some problems too , Those are also cultural.
And what is wrong with picture you posted?????? I am sorry did not get it? I do know about law and also Islamic point of view , this picture is fine with both angels , so that is I am asking.
To every one : Please come down , Those who have high ego need to bring it down , If you want other to listen and understand what you have to say , you too need to have same ability .
Thread is about west and veil practice in west ..........
In short there Land, There country there Rule and there culture .. Y we are making it ............. I don't want to quote last 10 or so pages ......
@Divergent1 , You had very good question in First post but the way you ask or your points in first post and the way you communicate with others is problem , or I should say there is visible communication and understanding gap and that will go with time. This is online forum , Every one is not as "Bold" as you are. So if you keep that "I M Always Right" mentality on side , Things will work out well here .
And please don't start on me , Thank you.

As for this topic ...

Men should strengthen their Iman and if they understand the niqab to be Fardh and that their household women should wear niqab, then marry one who does and not those who refuse to. Go separate ways if there is a severe disagreement.

And if the law of the land dictates 'No Niqab' then remove or leave that land.

It is as simple as that.

Excuse me. That was very rude what you said to me. I am out of this thread, and I want nothing to do with you or your frienemies.

Exactly that was my point we should not go for a Saudi approach the system we have is good we should improve it in gender equality department and implement laws better

In Pakistan you can wear hijab, niqab or be without head dress state doesnot force it onto its population to dress in a certain way and that is great i wouldnt support the govt if it went the Saudi direction

Those societies are no longer liberal and secular if a dress code is drawing attention. Gay marriages are OK, but Niqab draws attention :sarcastic:
