ALAMO, Nev. -- An Air Force fighter jet has crashed in a remote area about 100 miles north of Las Vegas.
Nellis Air Force Base spokesman Lt. Ken Lustig says the pilot ejected safely before the F-15C Eagle crashed northwest of Alamo, Nev., about 4:45 p.m.
Lustig says the pilot was taken to Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital for examination but did not suffer any injuries. An investigation into what caused the crash is already under way.
