The Taliban spokesman was a asked about the videos coming out of the Kabul airport, the spokesman said the responsibility of what happened in the airport falls solely on the US since they are the ones running the airport.
"We are saddened and paind by the events that happened in the Kabul airport. But who controls the airport and who was it that promised the [Afghan] people that they will be evacuated!
We issued a statement and told the USA if you want to withdraw then you are welcome to withdraw after all that is why we have been fighting you for the past 20 years as for the Afghans [who tried to escape in the airport] they are our countrymen, we are all the same people and we are brothers and we assured those people time and time again in multiple statements from the top leadership to all the [Afghan] people including to those who cooperated with the Americans and we especially told the translators who worked with the Americans that this is your country this is your homeland, let bygones be bygones, we want to look to the future we want to build a bright future for our country and our people".
He was also asked about whether the Taliban has changed during those 20 years. The spokesman answered that it was "natural for humans to change" and went on about how the environment has changed and that after 20 years alot would change.

Personally I feel it is still far too early to judge whether the Taliban has changed and has now become more tolerant than what they used to be, however one thing we know for sure is that the US will never change which is why they were so heartless with those Afghans in the airport.
