'Extremist' shot dead after stabbing six people in Auckland terror attack

@SQ8 man, you need to read some expert analysis and some truest info on how the surveillance of a suspect is done. a veritable treasure trove of knowledge here
There are other more sinister programs as well but I do not have the liberty to discuss the details on here …
awesome! so you are an insider from them sinister neighborhood watch schemes and not authorized to leak out the details to me, a mere mortal, laborer/gardener who has never been part of any government agencies.

Do you have any idea how human psychology works when you are “gang stalked” 24/7… you reach a point where you became so afraid that ANYONE around you becomes a potential threat to you …

Do you want me to sight medical journals on this topic …

Now on the justification part … I will never defend this action BUT I will also NOT defend a staci police program against citizens …

Yo, bro he was under surveillance but he did not know that, those officers who were tracking him they kept a good distance from him so he don't know, that is why he was manage to stab 6 people despite being under surveillance, those officers have to rushed to him before he can do more damage, watch the press conference of NZ PM and I think Police commissioner.

He was convicted and imprisoned for possessing violent and objectionable material, isis propaganda videos including beheadings and torture. He was also convicted of conspiracy to conduct a lone wolf attack, much like the actual attack he eventually would conduct.

Time to bring in law to kick these kinda people from the country.

I think in extreme cases such as this one there should be grounds to deport, but not if he has been granted citizenship. The more I read about this individuals particular case, the more questions seem to be raised. Was he radicalized after immigrating here in 2011, were there any red flags prior to 2016 when he seems to come to the attention of authorities. The timeline does fit in with the emergence of ISIS in 2014. More details will emerge, of interest will be his immigration status.

One thing is for sure, change is coming. This individual fell in between the cracks in our laws and was extremely cunning, playing the system and was little more than a parasite for our community. He didn't respect our country, our laws, our values or our way of life and seemed only to exist here for one purpose: to kill innocent people, and basically stated as much. Our nation should not tolerate anybody who comes here with such abhorant views, including the Mosque shooter Brenton Tarrant.

He managed to get two QC's as legal representation which doesn't come cheap. How was this funded? Apparently he made threats to kill people in a courtroom in front of a judge but somehow was granted bail.

I am “no body” …

And if I post those links or info I am 100 % sure it will be deleted or flagged …

I will just say this, there are programs out there which when implemented on a individual for a long period of time can cause him to act in ways which is deter mental to the safety of others …

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says she is "absolutely gutted" after a Sri Lankan immigrant who was known to local authorities injured six people in an "extremist" terror attack at an Auckland shopping centre this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the Countdown store at LynnMall shopping centre in New Lynn, in Auckland's west, around 2.40pm today (12.40pm AEST), after reports several people had been stabbed.

In a confrontation with the attacker, police were forced to shoot him dead on arrival.

In a press conference alongside NZ Police Commissioner Andrew Coster, Ms Ardern confirmed the attacker was a "violent extremist" terror sympathiser who had been known to authorities since 2016.

He was under heavy surveillance by specialist tactical officers due to his extremist views, and it was them who shot him dead.

Those officers had followed the man from his Glen Eden home to the supermarket in New Lynn.

Once inside, he got hold of a knife and approached officers who later shot him.

Ms Ardern said the man, a Sri Lankan national who came to New Zealand in October 2011, had previously been before the courts.
She said the law meant he could not be kept in prison, but he was being monitored "constantly".

Suppression orders meant she could not share further details at this stage, but she was seeking further guidance from the courts on that.

Commissioner Coster said the man was acting alone, and police were not looking for anyone else in connection with the attack.

Witnesses described scenes of mass hysteria as several people were attacked before the assailant was shot.

Police said he died at the scene.

Tim, who did not want his last name used, said he saw an elderly man lying on the ground with a stab wound to his abdomen.

Another victim, a middle-aged woman, was stabbed in the shoulder, he said.

"(People were) running out, hysterically, just screaming, yelling, scared," Tim said.

"The police came just before I was going to try and find the fella."

Another witness, Brittany Denyer, was about to park to enter the Countdown when she said police officers ran up to her and told her to "hurry up and evacuate immediately".

"People were panicking, and it was a gridlock trying to get out of New Lynn," she said.

"Police and ambulances (were) everywhere.

"I was told by another police officer while I was waiting to be diverted that someone had been stabbed.

"Police cars kept arriving and people were running away from the mall trying to get out of the area.

"I am very thankful I didn't arrive five minutes earlier as I would've been inside.

"It would have been so scary for anyone inside the mall."

Stuff understands one of the victims fled onto a bus at the adjacent bus station, and waited there until police and ambulance arrived.
Multiple videos posted on social media from the incident show people shouting and fleeing the mall.

A spokesman from Kiwi Property, which owns LynnMall, said it had been advised of an incident at the Countdown.

"The matter is now in the hands of the police, and we'll continue to provide them with our full assistance," he said.

Great North Road in New Lynn has been cordoned off, with a tweet from Auckland Transport stating more cordons were likely.

Chemist Warehouse staff, near the supermarket, were advised by officers to stay at the back.

St John spokeswoman Dani Tucker said it was alerted at 2.40pm.

"Five ambulances, three rapid response unit and four managers have responded to the scene," she said.

Police said the incident was still unfolding, and they would provide further information when they could.

He probabaly just snapped when he noticed police following him...so he went inside a store and comitted suicide by police

I remember when I saw this on the news, they said the authorities had their eye on him since 2016. And did what? Nothing.

It's time Western societies stop being so "hooman rights" and start deporting people the moment they show their support to extremist salafi groups. Like that wanker Chaudry or Choudhary or what's his name,in Britain. The guy was openly supporting the most vicious terrorists and demonstrated for Sharia law in the UK,but the "progressive" government only kept an eye on him.

In my opinion, the moment one of those fanatics starts demanding Sharia Law and burqah (not hijab) and advocates for islamist groups,he should lose his right to be a citizen of any such country. If he doesn't like it,he should go live in Saudi Arabia,Qatar or some third world African place.

You don't come to Europe, settle in a country with a Christian history, tradition and population majority and different culture and go like this:

But of course, that's the stupidity of the western governments: They accept all that as "freedom of speech".

Western nations should make muslim immigration very strict. There should be background check-up of every muslims who are entering Europe and America especially of those muslims who wear burqa, hijab and keep long beard. Muslims who will obey and follow Western values should be allowed to immigrate into Western nations.

These is the only way by which such attacks can be stopped.

You are being able to build Madrasah in Europe and America because Western countries believe in the concept of tolerance and freedom of religion.

Meanwhile Christians, Hindus and Buddhists cannot build Churches and Temples in Sharia run Aceh region of Indonesia.

Also in Indonesia, the Christian governor of Jakarta was removed from his office after Muslims protested against him.

Yup, Indonesian are so few to migrate to Western countries. Even we are not top 20 immigrants of Australia despite we are so close to Australia. All of our migrant workers working in Saudi/Malaysia/Hongkong will come back to Indonesia.

You are right that most Indonesian migrate to US should be probably Christian and our minority

------------------------------------------------------

This is Church in Aceh and you can ask to the Youtuber about freedom of religion in Aceh as the Youtuber is Christian Organization.

Islam is the religion that honor freedom of religion and it is why Christian community still exist in Egypt, Christian and Jew in Turkey, Jew in Iran and others. Turkey under Ottoman saved many Jew that migrate to Turkey after Spain turned to Christian again.

You hardly see any Muslim community in Spain Today which is Spain in origin, mostly new immigrant and it shows Europe in the old time doesnt tolerate freedom of religion.
