She is not alone. Things about Army have always been hush-hush. Plus only the dead sure do not talk. Case in point Saleem Shehzad. He was killed. It is known that he was working on a project that focused on support for militancy within Armed forces. After GHQ attack, PAF base attack, & multiple Naval base attacks, this thesis stands vindicated. But Saleem Shehzad is not about to speak from his grave.
Stuff like this will stay unproven, inuendo, conspiracy, etc... All it takes to get (im)plausible deniability is a bunch of contractors (preferrably LeJ, LeT, or just any group vying for attention & protection), a mobile SIM with Afghan number, and of course some Arabic/Islamic Jihadist name that has not been heard of before. Any journalist can be attacked / killed, in case he (it is still exculsively males that have had a run-in, fatal or not), does not 'get' it. There sure is no proof. Six bullets can come from anywhere, anyone, and it does not matter who the target is. Journalists after all are not made of steel.
People who know (and there are many such) can tell you plenty. But of course no one is going to prove it in a court of law. Who would dare?
So, you can go with your bias. It sure can not hurt, if does not do so yet. But then you might not know unless you get picked up all of a sudden for whatever reason. I should know - I have been there. Hence my proclivity in 'seeing' things that you do not think are conveniently plausible.
I speak from experience. You speak for being naive. The difference is stark.
