ISTANBUL: An explosion rocked the central Istanbul Sultanahmet square, a major tourist attraction, on Tuesday, causing some casualties, the Dogan news agency reported.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud blast and video footage on the CNN Turk channel showed police and ambulances at the scene.

The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear.

We should start revising how Istanbul is being policed. It's obvious we are lacking a lot. If I had any influence Id recommend the government to take a look at the tactics, doctrines and equipment used by the NYPD and how they keep New York safe.
