What's new

Exiled Muslim Brotherhood leaders would be welcome in Turkey: Erdogan

Modern states dont hide behind religion. Religion belongs in the Church, the Temple and the Mosque. Medievel backwards superstitious thinking has no place in modern state craft. You can have leaders who are personally religious people. But they need to be intelligent and sincere enough not to use religion to brainwash their people.

Religion is a tool. It always has been. The difference is other civilizations left that phase of their development centuries ago. Muslims still walk around with the same 1300 year old crutch.

Modern states don't hang people for their religious inclinations. These "modern states" you are talking about were usually led by dictators and nationalist scum. Fun fact, ethnic wars and nationalism are just as responsible for wars as "religion" has. I don't know how many millions have died over the last century because of ethnic conflict and the notion that one race or country is superior over the other.

.
Lol. Are you here to talk about the thread topic or are you here to try and change the subject?

And yes modern states are still ruthless during war. Dictatorships are worse. Im glad you can only compare your muslim nations with dictatorships and war criminals. You walked right into that one.

But I agree. These muslims, because of their backward way of thinking use religion as a tool for their ignorant backwards thinking populations in order to justify their crimes against humanity and their own dictatorships.

Yes, because the current regimes in the ME are just like dictatorships.

UAE refused to follow the Muslim Brotherhood in the 60s and they were smart enough to stay away, look at them now, and look at us.
Now Saudi Arabia is an opponent of the brotherhood, so what's holding Al Saud to revise those laws to get back to good old days? So either Saudi rulers are from brotherhood or love them so much, right? Neither makes sense.

You see if there wasn't the potential, they wouldn't have succeeded to turn a society like that to what it is today by some laws. If I'm not mistaken, King Abdullah can abrogate some these laws, right? So what's holding him?

.
No. They are worse. They enslave people with religion bullshit and make them live under a 1300 year old rule of law. Their society is infinitely worse than anything else currently in existance. They are the worst of the worst. That cannot be denied.

Yes, because the current regimes in the ME are just like dictatorships.

And the majority of governments I have seen in many Muslim countries are either dictatorships with absolutely no religion involved and religiously inclined governments. The civilian governments were heavily corrupt and unpopular.
Both are responsible for murders and crimes, that is the point I'm trying to make. Unfortunately, we glorify secular dictatorships even though they are just as worse.

King Andullah belongs to a different ruling faction than pro-religious Faisal. Also he has to be careful, lest the same fate of Saud befalls him.

The brotherhood and KSA split after KSA and Egypt made peace between each other, for which they felt betrayed and wanted revenge since. The situation in Saudi Arabia is complex, and any attempt to simplify it by you or anyone else will result in it not making sense to you, the same way how you think it makes sense for Saudi Arabia to support the people that call for its Downfall for some reason, now that my friend doesn't make any sense except in the fairy tales of lazy minded people.

That is your opinion. Your great dislike for the current Islamic regimes (which is not a bad thing, mind you) has driven you to support so-called socialists and secular leaders who were throwing leftist theorists and opposition into jails and tortured them. They were just as brutal as their Islamic counterparts and they were just as dependent on foreign support as the Islamic regimes were.

.
This is not a good thing either.
Countries in this region have always been different shades of the same colour. Sometimes we had leaders who were secular. They did many dubious things which no righteous person would do. Now we have leaders who are inclined to religion. They are just the same. Just another shade.

For you may be it's not.

We fought against many enemies and emerged victorius. We found our rebublic. It was born from the ashes of Ottomans. We were in our worse state. My grandpa say, we couldn't be able to produce a single needle at those days. Our army ruined because of the decades lasting wars. We were just trying to exist.

And these Mullah fvcks emerged, saying "religion is being lost, we want khilafat, we want ummah." They marched towards governor's building. A single Turkish cadet named "Kubilay" stood against them. They beheaded Kubilay, placed his head over a spear.

In response, Ataturk wiped all of these mullahs.

We are relentless against enemies that threatens our very existence.

.
Well. If you like your muslim fundamentalists and the tin pot dictators that fund and support them. You can keep them. I mean its 690 AD all over the middle east. Good luck with that.

Do you have comprehension problems? You think I support these people? It's ironic that this is coming from a 'Murican, anyway.

You call yourself secular and stand against extremism and mullahs yet you condone the law of "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth"?

My/Our stance is not related with religion.

It can be described as "Mess with my country, you'll be sorry that you have born.".......

That said, it's no more the stance of my country under the leadership of Erdoğan.

Also, it is not "tooth for a tooth." It is "Your life for my tooth"

Good decision by Mr. Erdogan. Hope MB amass power and can regroup in Egypt and ME to strike at an ideal time in the future.

Turks here is a history lesson for you:

In the 1960s things were bad between Arabists and Monarchists in the Middle East. There was one group of people who were opposed to the Arabists secularist approach, they called themselves the "Muslim Brotherhood", they were concentrated in a country called Egypt, and its president who was called Gamal Abdelnasser expelled then from Egypt.

Because monarchists hated Arabists so much one of them called Saudi Arabia decided to one up Gamal and house the exiled brotherhood leaders, you see in Saudi Arabia at the time there were movie theaters, women could wear whatever they wanted in public, and generally everything was relaxed.

Brotherhood leaders decided to do something they called "Al-Sahwah" which translates to "Awakening" so they urged the government and the religious establishment to force Sharia laws on the citizens, and thus many laws were passed that closed the TV, closed the Movie Theaters, beaches became off limits to women (who wore whatever they wanted mind you) and closed shops in prayer times, pretty much the Saudi Arabia we all know and love today.

So with this story in mind my dear Turks, what do you think of your decision to house them in your country? This is why I have a personal vendetta against the brotherhood, my mother fondly remembers the days before King Faisal decided to take them in.

If MB really lead such an "awakening" as u claim then they deserve praise for what they did. Arab secularist and nationalist are the root of all problems in modern day ME. :)

Well, personally i support Erdogan's maneuver at this situation. As we know MB are on terror list of some countries. Lets count them;

1) Russia - 12 February 2003 (because chechen revolts are supported by MB)

2) Syria - 21 October 2013 (established by western colonists)

3) Egypt - 25 December 2013 (established by western colonists)

4) Saudi Arabia - 7 March 2014 (established by western colonists)

5) UAE - 9 March 2014 (established by western colonists)

What was the ideology of MB? Pan-Islamism. Which is is a political movement advocating the unity of Muslims under one Islamic State– often a Caliphate.

So, if Turkey going to support the existance of MB, Who will get benefits from that existance?

disunited Muslims.

May Allah help all of Muslims to get 'one first' again.

Agreed

Your enemies wish to make you weak and clones of themselves

They want to take from us muslims the basis of our belief, islam

we should counter their plans by spreading islam across the world and having more muslim children
