Eurocopter unveils next-gen helicopters, eyes Indian mkt

India will not be a good market for Helos now..

Reasons:
1. India already making Helos
2. There are many ppl who are pushing desi projects.
3. Deals are getting tangled in legal process. (after reporting scams)
4. Congress (The most corrupt Pigs on earth) are loosing al over India, The new govt (who ever it be) will try to go for desi projects.
5. Advent of Anna and Arvind is pushing transparency in right direction..
FAR too simplistic. Yes India has a growing rotary wing product range but that doesn't mean that there isn't room for more than one player in the Indian helo market- far from it. Looking specifically at pvt sector there is huge diversity, you've got AW, Eurocopter, Bell etc even on the public side it's not like HAL has a monopoly.

It's more than reasonable for Eurocopter to be making such statements as the market in India is just so huge from defence forces to Police departments to HEMS to off-shore oil rig transport etc etc.

Just look at the US, even though they have helo powerhouses like Bell and Sikorsky Eurocopter and AW still have significant presence in the US and have even secured orders for the US Mil.

Good for them eyeing Indian market. It will take them 20 to 30 years to negotiate if by that time they haven't gone out of business, might see their product in India colors couple of years after that.

They are not eying the Indian defence market, but the civil market and Eurocopter has already a good share there, where the Dhruv btw plays basically no role, as sad as it is.

From subject of the thread I thought that it would be some stealth helo, but the pic show ordinary utility helo, which India already make, druv look better than that, can someone compare both helos specifications?

Well go for new hele.

The "next-generation" part is just sensational journalism, nothing more.
