EU is looking to diversify supply chains to cut China reliance

But anything produce inside European country would be more costly then sourcing from china. Unless the buyer ready to pay more manufacturers will be dependent on China.
Or policies in EU are changed, and wages are lower.

Gradually it will move to some other country in Asia. China will have to pay the price for what it has done.

Complete uninterrupted supply chain from raw material processing to end products, every link must be closely and smoothly connected, large experienced and skilled work force, fast and efficient transport and logistic service.. these are just some of hundreds factors to start with, which need decades to built up, talking is the cheapest thing in the world.

Dude do you think Europe is some kind of a 3rd world continent where there is no infrastructure or competent workforce?
You dont need to worry about Europe, it had all of this way before China.

The move is not so easy. Chinese has the work ethic (combination of high IQ, disciplines, hard work spirit, can do spirit and sense of responsibility) which is equal, if not superior, than German (i m talking about pure German, not current melting pot Germany, which the work ethic going down the drain and German quality no longer being envied. Have worked with too many German equipment and really dissapointed) but the salary is much lower. The consequence is the effectiveness of the whole process, from raw material, manufacturing to logistics and trade. This cannot, and never will, be repeated in any country or continent at similar scale. If China was to be isolated as before 1980, the whole world manufacturing would collapse before it can be rebuilt.

My mother came back after getting a Ph.D in East Europe in early 1980s. Even back then, Chinese goods already conquered the market and most items she brought back home were made in China. At that time, Vietnam and China had no formal trade.

If the industries shift then those places will simply import the raw materials from China .
Shifting supply chain isn't that tough if you really want to . Just look at Vietnam . They got a log of business that didn't go to China .

This is a great opportunity for other countries to bite into the new supply chain lines. I believe that Asian nations like Vietnam, Bangladesh, Indonesia will benefit the most.

You think China will feel threatened by that? China already has a strong economy domestically. China too is moving away from cheap mass production to bigger things at home. AI, electronics, vehicles, chip manufacturing etc.

Besides, talk is cheap. China has the raw material reserves, the manpower, skills and ability to deliver the end product on time. At most EU can move certain low end products to other nations. I want to see how the EU is going to move the more sophisticated products from Chinese assembly lines.

This is the only thing you will hear from these China haters. They threaten with moving away assembly lines to another country LOL China has already made the big bucks and is onto different things entirely.

China now is a major global investor, we ourselves try to diversify our investments around the world, now it's time to buy Europe cheap.
But you won't be allowed so might as well spend your energy doing something productive like educating your peasant population in hygienic eating manners so we might avoid another global pandemic like the current chinese virus.

The origin of this virus is still unknown, besides, Chinese eating manners are ok if you go to see how and what people eat in many parts of the world, it's not about eating habits which western media tries to so hard to smear China with, Chinese food is one of the most popular food in the world for a reason.

Great news, China making less products for worthless paper euros. You work 60 hours a week in China for low wages, so Europeans can buy inexpensive goods.

China should start the construction of 25 new shipyards (like Dalian) to become worlds best and largest navy, with the focus on making thousands of SSKS and hundreds of SSNs.

China's rise is only beginning.

China should stop dumping cheap steel on the market, and start stockpiling years worth of steel, along with other base metals.
