Today in his address to joint parliamentary session of Pakistan, Erdogan mentioned the name of Abdur Rehman Peshwari. He belonged from Peshawar. Abdur Rehman left his studies and left as a volunteer to fight for Ottoman Empire. He also fought in Turkish war of independence and even served as Turkey's ambassador to Afghanistan in 1921 sent there by Mustafa Kamal Ataturk. He is still buried in Turkey.
Pakistan and Turkey's relationship predate the creation of two states. Its the mutual respect and love people have for each other. Turkey still remembers this son of soil, a manifestation of our brotherhood.
