Ensure national flag is hoisted at madrasas on Aug 15, Jan 26: HC tells UP govt

lolz , You should better keep quite if you don't understand the subject.

That pic is not common in India. That's akin to discrediting the graves of your fallen heroes of war. But I guess Jamia educated won't know that. We don't discredit Amar Jawan under any circumstances.

Court is not ordering to hang those snakes that's enough liberty given to them.

Or do you want liberty to eat , drink , sleep , shit in that country and don't even hoist a flag just two times in whole year.

1. you need to understand the context of the protest .

2. Not hoisting country's flag is NOT at all a crime

3. Your court should have taken notice of disruption of public order by protesters instead of stuffing patriotism down the throats of the people.

The sad state of a nation where sanghi stooges get to become judges and over ride personal liberties at the pretence of nationalism

@jamahir your views pls

at first glance, it is a reasonable demand - flag atop religious structure and country superceding religious sentiment... but there are two things here...

1. it is obvious that the petitioner is a sanghi... it must be made a rule that hindu monasteries must likewise fly the country flag and that they should internally disconnect india from religious narratives... that is more important... until now, the sanghis have been traitors to the idea of a pluralist and progressive india that was foreseen or desired by people like bhagat singh and subhash bose.

2. is the country going towards a stage where blind nationalism rolls over people's real problems?? are we supposed to ignore the countless problems ( that the indian political/social system created ) and robotically stand in cinema halls when "jana gana mana" plays... are we living in a indian and reduced nazi germany??

Sadly no.

Just see the history of this poster. And his favorite tactic is to call that commie beggar and traitor @jamahir to supprt his views

1. what is this beggar thing about??

2. and look !! a supporter of the sangh ( great collaborator of the british overlords ) is calling me a traitor?? your two nda governments have effectively made india a primary member of the nato bloc.

3. remember that long reply i indirectly made to you about farmer gajendra singh??

Begging for govt doleouts for everything. If someone is lazy and cant standup on its own two feet asking the govt to give him my money which I earned with my hardwork and gave to the govt in form of taxes.

substantiate the statement with proof or STFU. Which NATO operation did India fight in? How many NATO bases are in India?

My view on that publicity seeker is still the same. He may have had some genuine problems but my view is that he thought he will do some drama in front of TV cameras and the King of Drama -AK 49 will show his magnaminous heart and gift him some money. This will make AK 49 a bigger darling of leftists. Unfortunately for him the script went wrong and no one stopped him from commiting suicide.

It was just like that scene from Sholay where Dharmendra is on top of that tank threatening to commit suicide unless Mausi gave away Basanti to him.

The solution should not be to try to force a patriotic gesture - it will mean little if such people do not wish to respect India, rather, any and all subsidies that any level of government provides must be immediately withdrawn.

I don't care if there are people in India who for whatever reason don't respect our nation - as repugnant as it is, they technically have limited rights in that context however I do not under any circumstances want my tax subsidizing or sponsoring such people.

What is robotic about that?

When the national anthem plays on TV, all my kids stand up along with me in the living room.

If you are not taught that from a young age at home and school, then you grow up into rudderless disillusioned adults who feel embarrassed by such actions.

what i grew up into was not a maddened nationalist but a passioned socialist who cares infinitely more about india's oppressed and exploited peoples than those reactionary jingoists like preity zinta who had a young man thrown out of a bombay cinema hall because he didn't stand up while the national anthem was playing before the show.

i worry less about getting the national anthem wrong and worry more about contributing to removing anti-human incidents like these ( Mandya Farmer Sets Sugarcane Crop on Fire, Jumps in and Dies -The New Indian Express ). :)

i must sleep now... leave a reply if you wish, i will reply later.

And this coming from the followers of Govalkar and Hegdewar who never hoisted Indian flag to the extent that it had to be forced by outsiders... Waah re mere Sanghi Bhakton...

"Three activists of Rashtrapremi Yuwa Dal-- its president Baba Mendhe, Ramesh Kalambe and Dilip Chattani -- along with others allegedly entered the RSS premises in Reshimbagh in southern part of the city on January 26 in 2001 and forcibly hoisted the national flag there amid patriotic slogans.

The incharge of the premises Sunil Kathle first tried to stop them from entering the premises and later tried to prevent them from hoisting the tri-colour.

The activists initially told the RSS men there that they had come to pay homage to the RSS founder Dr Keshav Hedgewar but soon took out banners and flag.

They contended that RSS has never before or after independence, ever hoisted the tri-colour in their premises, even on Independence Day and Republic Day.

Offences under relevant section of Bombay Police Act and IPC were registered by Police against the trio, who were freed last week."

And these patriots were charged for doing so.... Wow!

Truths about the tricolour

Your argument is Self Defeating :P

If Govalkar and Hegdewar never raised the Indian Flag, then it proves than the people who seek to Raise the National Flag are NOT followers of GOvalkar and Hegdewar

OTOH people like You and Jamahir are the true inheritors of the claimed RSS Ideology

I know LOGIC is not the strength of a Jihadi, but has even common sense deserted you ?

Karachi seminaries' swoop: Jihadi literature seized from madressah - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

KARACHI: In the first search operation since the identification of 49 madressahs suspected to have links with ‘terrorist organisations’ in Sindh, police seized Jihadi literature and posters belonging to a banned militant organisation from the hostel of one of the seminaries, it emerged on Thursday.

The law enforcers conducted a search of three madressahs in Karachi’s West district and one in East district and arrested one person in possession of the Jihadi literature inside the seminary.

“We searched Jamia Binoria in SITE, Masjid and Madressah Al-Badar in Qasba Colony and Masjid and Madressah Al-Mustafa in Orangi Town,” SSP west Azfar Mahesar told Dawn. The police also searched Madressah Jamia Farooqia in Shah Faisal Colony.

“During the search of the Madressah Al-Mustafa hostel, we seized some Jihadi literature found in one of its rooms. There were also some posters and stuff of the banned organisation. All those were seized,” the officer said, adding that the exercise largely remained smooth with the cooperation of the administration of each madressah.

The SSP said the police investigated and identified the student who had actually carried the literature into the room. After verification and thorough counterchecks, it was proved that the literature belonged to that student, he said, claiming that the police took him into their custody.

“It’s basically Jihadi literature, not the kind that triggers sectarian hatred,” said SSP Mahesar, adding that investigation was under way to find any possible “links of the presence of the literature inside the madressah with its administration or other students”.

The police booked and arrested the student under Section 153-A of the Pakistan Penal Code. Titled “promoting enmity between different groups,” Section 153-A of the PPC reads: “Whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by signs, or by visible representations or otherwise, promotes or incites, or attempts to promote or incite, on grounds of religion, race, place of both, residence, language, caste or community or any other ground whatsoever, disharmony or feelings of enmity, hatred or ill-will between different religious, racial, language or regional groups or castes or communities.”

The Sindh home department had identified 49 madressahs having alleged links with ‘terrorist organisations’ against whom the ‘relevant authorities’ were told to take action last month. The madressahs were identified on intelligence reports.

The officials claimed to have shared the information with both the Rangers and Sindh police for ‘appropriate action’ against them. However, the Pakistan Rangers, which were leading the ‘targeted operation’ in Karachi, were not part of the search operation of the madressahs.

A senior official while wishing not to be named confirmed that the police handled the entire exercise on their own and the operation would continue under the National Action Plan. “West district is quite vulnerable as it has been identified with 12 madressahs which are mentioned in the Sindh home department’s report,” said the official.

“Three of them are done with the search and the same exercise will be carried out at the remaining ones soon. The Rangers are expected to join the police in the next phase, but if they don’t the police will do that on their own,” he added.

In East district, the same search operation was conducted at Madressah Jamia Farooqia in Shah Faisal Colony. The officials said the exercise included verification of students’ identity, enrolment record and accounts to trace their financial resources.

1. Being Indian, I understand that better than you ever will.

2.Sorry, you are no one to judge that. No One.

3. Last thing our courts would like to do is to consider the sensitivities of a Pakistani on any Indian subject. I am sure you people didn't like it even when Kasab was hanged
