SRLE UAV Maiden Flight


Short Range Long Endurance (SRLE) UAV completed its maiden test flight successfully.

The SRLE UAV named OPTIMUS can stay aloft for 10+ hours for Day/Night operations. Many features such as:

• Latest lightweight composite techniques to enhance structural integrity
• Improved Wing and Body aerodynamics
• Inverted V-Tail Configuration

were tested during the first qualification flight. The aircraft showed good stability and handling qualities.

Sir, when the govt sells charges 20-25% sales tax on petrol & 30%+ sales tax on diesel, and where Rs.1/- per liter flood tax for 1971 flood in East Pakistan is still charged to this day even though East Pakistan is now Bangladesh and its been 44 years since, what else do you expect from the Pakistanis to do ? In all over the world diesel prices are lower then petrol, but here in Pakistan, diesel is expensive then petrol. And the majority of commercial transport is on diesel, so expensive diesel means expensive transport charges for delivery of day to day goods, resulting in higher selling prices, which affects us.

Should i start with the rates of electricity ? Just giving a personal example, compared to last year i have paid 25% more electricity charges on the same number of units used during one of the month in current year. We are charged Rs 35/- as TV tax which goes to PTV, the official mouth piece of govt since they can't earn for themselves even though local private channels are earning handsome amount of money. On a Rs.100/- mobile card load, Rs 38-40 goes into multiple number of taxes and we use only Rs.60-62 for calling purposes.

Sir, before giving sarcastic remarks about the Pakistani people which is very easy while sitting in a developed western country, try to be in our shoes and see what we are going through. Day by day living here a decent life is getting expensive, so these Pakistanis will go to any corner where they find something cheap.

Exactly.......there was a trade off .....between household and industry....As a nation, the masses also preferred to enjoy gas at home not at factories...and the politicians too made the criminal choice just to save their vote bank.....now industry is ruined by energy crises....exports going no where near the target...budget deficit is also increased over the period..

but we still need gas at home for noisy generator, heater and geyser hahahha

Thank you for your post-----there are so many industries that have been sitting idle or at low capacity for the last 8 + years for a shortage of natural gas on in the past non payment of bribes to Zardari----.
