But did I not make it clear to you that I am no AAP sympathizer. AAP itself might not be doing anything but its image and the ideology (it presumably sticks to) has created a stir.

What "IDEOLOGY" ????

Just words.....Just those words which the masses want to hear.

Have they DONE anything concrete on the GROUND??

They had the opportunity in Delhi to prove Critiques like me that they STAND for what the CLAIMS to Stand for.

But they ruined it completely.

Saying that we resigned BECAUSE the Jan Lokpal couldn't be passed is form of a JOKE. I mean, I don't want to see a Govt fall every other day just because one bill couldn't be passed.

Even if they get the majority in the Delhi Assembly post elections, passing the bill without LG's consent would be unconstitutional anyway, so why they saying that BJP-Congress got together to stop the passage of the bill?? Mind you, it wasn't just BJP & Congress, every other member of the Delhi Assembly voted against - JDU MLA (supporting AAP), Independents.

Bill was just a SCAPEGOAT, they don't wanna be tied down to DELHI when there real target is NEW DELHI.

My view on AAP? Do I need to say more when he acknowledged himself as a political anarchist? He had very little respect for the democratic governance when he was a front-runner of the Hazare movement and it was very obvious then that his stay in the power won't last long with such inaccurate estimation of Indian democracy. He successfully exploited the grievances of the urban class of the capital but failed to realize the ways of maintaining a sustained government and continued to folly one after another.And personally I think they have kicked the axe themselves as a large section of the discontent youths have lost faith in them.

AAP is a watchdog that mistakenly received the keys to the kingdom. They're actually needed, but outside the Government as activists, to keep the elected members honest.

No point in having a Government that that's very honest, but also very anarchist and chaotic in it's outlook to governance. They may have not taken bribes and saved a 100 crore to the exchequer, but if they sit on a dharna for a week and disrupt economic activities, it's still going to cost the exchequer 100 crores.

The ideology that I was talking about was anti-corruption but whether they stick to it or not is a completely different issue.
Believe it or not but in international media AAP is creating waves.
And that should be one reason you and me are discussing this issue on a thread which says "emulate kejriwal,says a Pakistani daily".

They think that they are some sort of national AGENCY issuing Corruption/Non-Corruption certificate.

@levina i made an argument about 1 year back on PDF (when AAP was in it's nascent stages), i will make this again for you & others.

If you remember Raj Thakerey's MNS when came into being around 2008, was doing everything what one can call "Against The Law" (beating North Indians, declaring sort of war against them, etc.) but the Congress' State Govt. wasn't doing anything. Why? B'coz they were doing the best service to Congress & in 2009 came the proof............................

MNS, which itself din't win any seat, made the BJP-SS alliance LOSE on 9 LS seats by splitting the anti-congress votes.

MNS was a STATE LEVEL EXPERIMENT, AAP is a NATIONAL ONE.

P.S. Blindly following someone (because they are saying just those things which you wanna hear) is a form of SLAVERY.

Exactly, this is what I am worried about. Even If AAP manage to take away 5% of anti- Congress votes from 70-80 LS seats without winning a single seat; Congress is coming back to power either directly or indirectly through Third front.

I largely agree ..but just a clarification ...He did not protest against his won police ....He has no control over Delhi Police ...It's under Union Home ministry ... Delhi police was acting at behest of Union home ministry ...
Going after sitting minister ....that too on flimsy reasons was provocative ...I guess Kejriwal had no choice besides protesting against Delhi police for they were working against AAP government ...
