Yes we are learning. We have blessings of our parents but I know some people are not happy as usual. Totally agreed...to never let others get involved. Celebrate small things and don't promise big...no need to gift expensive cars and pent houses to each other rather share small things like chocolates, flowers, rings.
No she does not know much about cooking except making nice and healthy smoothies and juices but she is learning...watches Pakistani recipes on youtube and makes funny tasting food but I still eat it. We share a lot of activities like skiing, skating, triathlon, video games, swimming etc and painting so those compensate for than enough

Ofcoure you can imagine the family. But now they love my wife more than me. Crazy as I am very lovable except to Indians on PDF.. .loool.
No seriously food etc you guys will learn. Both my wife and I enjoy cooking she got me into travels and she won't travel now but I spend months away. We are in Pakistan and mountains here are the best. In April I am planning Thailand Vietnam Laos and Cambodia she won't be coming but allows me to do the traveling as I don't smoke drink etc etc. Life is ehat you make it. The best present i ever gave my wife wss a ginger brad man. Of all the presents that was the one that gave her the most delight. Woke up early went to a Local bakery for a fresh bloomer load and saw this beautiful gingerbread man. Value of presents is only important to selfish people. I pray you both and everyone on PDF have lovely lives with their families. We have a new addition a cat. He is a terror except when he needs food then he is the sweatest. Loool

Yes some people are not happy but the great thing is that we are geographically far from them (most of them are in USA ) and I don't intend to invite them to our main function.

It was not typical arranged marriage rather we met, we observed / liked each other and then involved parents so they tied our knot...we wanted engagement, they turned it into nikkah and hence we got married .. I think my father was tooo eager that finally I selected someone and when he met her and her family....he just wanted it to be permanent thus constraining my freedoms...which I was willing to let go on this occasion for the first time in my life after dodging so many traps thanks to my slippery fish like moves / lame excuses.

Though I personally don't like spending time in kitchen but I have accumulated all the available equipment so as to minimise my stay which helps her a lot.....but still I'm glad to assist her in cooking like by passing ingredients, or helping her understand the complex manuals of the machines or putting the things in place ... or setting up video recording for her cooking sessions which are private ....not open for public...not even for me...because of all the mess ups she makes ..but I have secret some plans..

My wife mashallah went from being a typical western girl to a really religious one. That why she doesn't travel with me on these treks and expeditions. But its her choice and I have to respect it. She lets me travel. But it would be cool of she came with me but hey can't have everything in life can we. She makes amazing cakes looool
