ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary for Industries and Production Rao Muhammad Ajmal Khan Wednesday told the National Assembly that there are eleven ongoing projects worth over Rs 3.8 billion to promote industries in Balochistan.
Replying during Question Hours in the House, Rao Ajmal Khan said that allocations for industrial development for Balochistan are much more than Punjab.

Regarding the law and order situation in Balochistan, he said that the government would fully support the local and foreign investors if any one desires to invest in the province.

The government has declared Gwadar as special economic zone. Gwadar port will be linked with eastern Chinese port which has been named as Pak-China Marine Silk Route, he added.

Later, Parliamentary Secretary for National Food Security and Research Rajab Ali Baloch informed the House that National Food Security Council is being established to introduce comprehensive coordination between federal and provincial governments with a view to ensuring food security.

Rajab Ali Baloch said that the Council will be headed by the Prime Minister and consist of, among others, the four Chief Ministers.

He said that there is no shortage of the wheat, the demand is 25 million tonne while the government storage stands at 26 million tonne. However, there was some issue of transportation of wheat which would be addressed with the help of the provincial governments.

Parliamentary secretary said agricultural innovation program has been initiated to focus on vegetable value chain addition and reduction of post harvest losses.

Rajab Ali Baloch said that Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad is working to develop technologies for value addition in vegetable and fruits under an Asian Development Bank project "Strengthening of Post Harvest Research for Food Technology".

If the people residing in the province (balochistan) co-operate, they will surely get opportunities to earn money on a massive scale.....and that too in a Halal way :D

I really hope that this vision goes ahead and benefits the people most :)
