Yes, but it was a British colony when they settled the country on Native American land. So, by your logic, Britain is equally responsible.

And my main point was that most Americans are not racist. But you wouldn't know that because you haven't lived here. Come visit sometime. And until you do, your words mean nothing.

The thing is that racism is now a carrot on a stick in American politics just as caste and religion is in India. You just need to play to the tune and thousands would support you. That being said neither sides are rightious they both use race to further their goals.
