The Molana were not able to spot the moon so they have declared Eid on Saturday instead of on Friday.

KARACHI: The Shawwal crescent, 1439 Hijri, has not been sighted and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Pakistan on Saturday, June 16, 2018, announced Ruet-e-Hilal committee here Thursday.

The announcement was made by Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman. He chaired the meeting at the Met office Karachi.

As long as they did the moonsighting according to sunnah, that is all that matters. My eid is Friday, eid mubarak to everyone who is celebrating whichever day.

Brother that is incorrect. If you look at the graphics on moonsighting.com it is not possible to see the moon in your part of the world.

According to the sunnah, 30 days must be completed. Other countries follow the sunnah slightly differently, they accept a global sighting, there is nothing wrong in that either, its a different interpretation with different justifications.

Just because there is no ijma on the matter, doesn't mean one has to be wrong.

The controversy comes in where we question the credibility of people who claim to have sighted the moon. This happens regularly in Pakistan and to reject someone's sighting regularly is to question thier credibility. In this instance, the hilal Committee should go with the people who have a track record for this and try to see the moon alongside them.

If the zakat Collection is being done from the two mashriqs and the two maghribs then the state is indebted to declare his shahadah as True and declare end of Ramadan.

okay i am no expert a noob question i am assuming that moon face or birth of moon is different in certain parts of world as in from that why we have eid on different days my uneducated guess is if we scientifically devide world into different segments we will witness new moon face on different times on eaxh segments right?

so if say there is one huge Islamic nation say from Indonesia to africas can we have eid or ramadan on same day?as in kaheen chand nazar ayya hoga kaheen nai!
