Ehtisaab Commission comes under fire from PTI lawmakers

During the proceedings of KPK assembly, both current as well as ex-minister of ruling PTI criticized the performance of KP's Ehtisaab commission. Speaker barred the ex-minister Zia Ullah Afridi from mic but upon opposition's protest, he was allowed to speak. The ex-minister termed the commission as hoax and accused the officials to act on direct orders of CM. He further accused the commission to be used as a tool for political vengeance. He further alleged that DG,Prosecutor General as well as the staff of the EC was hired in violation the rules.
In reply to Zia Ullah Afridi, The provincial minister Shah Farman rather endorsed the reservations and suggested that either EC improve performance to the standards of NAB or the floor provide the guidelines for improvements in EC. Praising NAB, he said that millions were recovered by NAB and deposited in provincial treasury, however, such people evaded the radar of province's own Ehtisaab Commission. Improved performance of NAB in the province has put a question mark on the performance of provincial body.
