Egyptian Minister of Military Production discusses joint cooperation with the SK Ambassador in Cair

Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Assar, Minister of State for Military Production, received the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea in Egypt and the accompanying delegation at the headquarters of the Ministry's General Office.

Al-Assar welcomed the Korean Ambassador and reviewed with him the fields of joint cooperation between the military production companies and the Korean companies in various fields of industrialization. He pointed out that coordination is being made between the two sides to develop the technological capabilities of the defense equipment production lines to meet the requirements of the armed forces of weapons and ammunition. In the fields of the manufacture of tablets, desalination plants and sewage treatment plants, and opened new horizons for joint manufacturing in the fields of medical supplies and devices, metro and rail vehicles, and agricultural plantation.

Al-Assar explained that the cooperation with the Korean side includes the implementation of reciprocal visits. An Egyptian delegation attended the Idex 2017 exhibition in Seoul last October, during which it was agreed to form a joint committee to follow up on the cooperation issues. Several cooperation protocols and memorandums of understanding between the two sides for joint manufacturing were signed.

For his part, the Korean ambassador praised the cooperation between the Egyptian military production companies and the Korean companies. He pointed out that the visits of some of the heads and representatives of Korean companies to the Ministry of Military Production companies and their units have been carried out.. and is currently working to hold more partnerships between Korean companies and military production companies in the fields of joint manufacturing of defense equipment and civilian equipment.
