Egypt cancels contracts for 240,000 T of stranded Ukrainian wheat -sources

Egypt has cancelled contracts for a total of 240,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat that were booked by its state grains buyer for February and March delivery but never loaded due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, two people with knowledge of the matter said.

Grain expeditions started today. The first ship will be in Turkish territorial waters on 3 August. The grain corridor will be monitored 24/7 by Turkish UAVs and will be under the protection of the navy when entering Turkish territorial waters.

Here, the amount of grain in the hands of the two countries is expected to be between 40 and 50 million tons by the end of the year. It is estimated that 20-25 million tons of Ukraine and 25-30 million tons of grain products are in the hands of Russia. This grain will be a great ray of hope, especially in the food crisis in African countries.
