Egypt to refurbish forty-three (43) AH-64E Apache with a cost of $2.3 b

In the meantime, Egypt's GDP per capita is $2500 and it has requested economic aid from the IMF just this past week. But hey, making sure that "billionaire American defense corporations" are happy is the price a dictator has to pay to stay in power.

I know you as a Turk will not be happy to see other Muslim countries getting stronger ..... because of your Imperialistic mindset ..... knowing that you can not bargain with another nation in your deals with the west .

Some of you Turks need to read than you write ..... Egypt will not pay a penny in this deal ....
it comes from the military support that US supplying Egypt & Usrael after signing the peace treaty between the two countries .... as a compensation for Egypt to the 6 years occupation of Sinai by Israel , compensation to Israel to withdraw from Sinai , encouraging the 2 nations to choose peace and stabilizing this important part of the world ME.

We don't have Mi 28 ? we just have 2 Mi 24
plus 89 Gazelle that need to be upgraded + 54 AH64 + 46 Ka = 191 attack helicopter.

we probably need The chinese Z-10 also.

the money comes from the annually american aid which is 1.3 billion dollar.

True.

You are right in that up quote plus the KATRANs but I don’t agree with the below.....

Erdogan Regime has Egyptian people’s blood on his hands ..... as long as that dictator NATO proxy in the Islamic nations Erdogan in power ..... nothing will happen.

It's true we have no problems with the Turks but we should forget about ottman thing, every nation has its interests now, Egypt and Turkey could work closely more than any nation if 2 things happen
1- no more ottoman ideas
2-no more gulf arabs control over Egypt.

the gulf arabs destroyed Egypt literally by interfering with their money (which I hope they will lose it all one day) and Turkey want the revival of ottoman empire which Egypt can't be part of it due to its past here.

.
Turkey isn't trying to bring back the OLD Ottoman Empire, obviously. That's impossible. But a new commonwealth based on similar principles of moderate Sunni Islam, cultural ties, scientific cooperation, trade/commerce, customs union, political stability, social harmony, justice and of course mutual/collective security. Turks want exactly what Egyptians want. A stable, war-free, peaceful region and prosperous peoples. US and Israel and their Gulf cronies want us Muslims to remain divided and in a constant state of conflict. Our best response to them should be to UNITE around our many similarities rather than divide over few differences.

Well said.

President MOURSI was elected by Egyptian People , not by Erdogan
also MOURSI never killed anyone ..... and Turkey-Egypt were allies , not enemies

the US-Israeli puppet dictator SISI killed over 5.000 Egyptians to make military coup for Israeli interests and millions of christian cops in Egypt

now smart Israel and Europe use Egypt-Greece as pawns to fight against Turkey to steal oil/gas reserves in the Eastern Mediterranean

even Italian ENI did not say to President MOURSI that discovered huge gas reserves

I know you as a Turk will not be happy to see other Muslim countries getting stronger ..... because of your Imperialistic mindset

All those weapons can not make Egypt stronger ..... everbody will see it in a real war

Turkey was ready to help Egypt to create national defense industry

Egypt should create its defense Industry to become real military power .. but puppet SISI can not do it.
as like American puppet leaders did not allow developing even Rifle in Turkey since 2002

Thanks to president ERDOGAN who make Turkey as global defense industry
between 2002 and 2020 Turkish military projects have risen to around 700 from 20

Egypt receives 1.3B military aid but no one knows where this particular money is spent
There could be endless possibilities so when somebody says that Egypt won’t pay anything or most of the deal is covered by the military aid should think twice before saying this unless of course they have exact information from trusted sources that 1.3B will be deducted from 2.3B apache deal

What did you do these engines that US requested such a big cost to refurbish used engines ? If you had capability to maintein/overhaul them in times, There won’t be such a big cost because It seems your engines on Apache are very bad conditions.

they are used aggressively in the operation on Libyan Boarders and in northern East Sinai against terrorists...
You are right in the maintenance issue .... but it seems for Apache it was not cost effective due to the limited numbers .... but now with the number 53 it must be a maintenance facility in Egypt .

but on the other hand you should consider 3 things:

1- this is not a pure maintenance.... it is a major upgrade that couldn’t be done in maintenance facilities.

2- Egypt has maintenance facilities for it’s 200 F-16s , all Russian Helicopters including regional facilities for other countries having Russian Helicopters to do it’s regular maintenance in Egypt.

3- Egypt is production M1A1 Tanks in Factory 200 and doing maintenance for it’s 1500 Tanks and transporting trucks that is produced in the same factory and for other countries as well

The re-manufacturing turbine engines cost too much for any country. That is the reason nations must have own maintenance capbilities but in Egypt, I think some other factors may effect the life cycle of a turbine engine. Sand ! No matter How many filters you attached on air inlet of turboshaft. The sand powders will inject inside the turbine and deform the turbine blades. Climates are important on the lifespan of these engines.

Good point .... but I believe some modifications have been done .... like what happened in M1A1 air conditioning.
Although I don’t have a concrete source for that .

There is no such thing such as Egyptian blood on Turkish hands but there is a possibility that Egypt changes it's stance in region with a new government.

However if Egypt was to have an MB led gov it will soon find its way to clash with Turkey, as Turkey is far too secular for Egypt's MB branch.

US and Israel want to use their man Sisi against the rising Neo-Ottoman Alliance. PEOPLE of Egypt by and large have no problem with Turks, actually quite the contrary. We have a lot of shared interests in the Mediterranean, not to mention our long, mutual history. By arming himself to the teeth at the expense of Egyptians' economic welfare, Sisi may be committing political (or actual?) suicide without knowing it.
Turkey has a bigger navy than Egypt and you F-16 has the latest US missiles..So who is armed to the teeth at the expense of Turkish people welfare..and committing suicide?
Take a look at Turkish economy..it is not doing well at all!

That is a military aid in the first place..it can only be spent on US military gear..And it can be accumulated..now the whole 2.3 billion will come from this aid and last year aid that has not been used or even next year's aid..that is how it works..so here you go..

It's better Egyptian government spends for the people.

"Egyptians, who are stranded in Kuwait, protested, and called on Egyptian authorities to act, and bring them back to Egypt.

Kuwaiti security forces used tear gas to disperse the riots."
