Focusing on a single platform would be better for the EAF. Rather than buying dozens of different types of platforms.

Then there is the question what good are 100 Rafales when they are not even equipped with Meteor missiles? in such a scenario the JF17s would squat the rafales out the sky with their PL-12/PL-15s.

.
Sounds fabricated news as the SU-35s were not in Egypt yet.. this is enough to see that this is repeated news with fake add ons.. you can see the original news in this section on PDF..

Good day dreaming .. but it is far from reality.. you talk like you know better then the the EAF experts.. that is not a good sign for you..

Yeah this news came out a few months ago, without the part about the Su-35 lol. I think the MB fellas in Turkey took the original article with the narration of Kenany and what he talked about the EAF creating the CIRS2 network from researching the AESA configuration on the Rafale's RBE2 radar and that was it. It did include the additional order of 30 plus the EAF brass talking about eventually making the numbers of Rafales possibly reach 100+ depending on affordability etc. and left it at that. No mention of SPECTRA doing anything the the EAF's Su-35s IRBIS-E radar or anything like that.

At that time, the Su-35s were not in Egypt IIRC unlike now, which quite a few are delivered perhaps the majority but not when this article came out and especially not when the data sharing linked network was developed. It definitely sounds like those exiles took that whole event and added the part about the SPECTRA and IRBIS-E. Why they would do that, is beyond me. Not sure what they would gain from such a fabrication.

Yes I edited that part as they were not in Egypt yet..but even if they were ..how would anyone know about that experiment.. assuming it was real..Those are state secrets and very few even in the military would know..So it is obviously fabricated news based on speculations..

Because sites of this sort almost always have an agenda,ie propaganda, and its usually right-wing,and they use the military hook on which to hang it.
Indeed one only has to read the blurb on the globaldefensecorp site titled "what we do",in order to realise this.

And credible source to back this claim up? The Su-35s were in combat, in Syria. At no point were they ever challenged by any party involved. The RuAF maintained control over Syrian Air Space throughout the conflict, to date.

Any word from the Egyptian Air Force in this regard?

Well if you look at the price tags, each SU-35 is $80 million while each Rafale costs $120 million. That's a difference of $40 million each.

I'm sure the SU-35 will see upgrades in the future to cope with new challenges.

Unfortunately their viscinity to Israrl means no one will give them any weapons which could become a problem for the Israeli Air Force. This seems to be their history. Cooperation with the Israeli Government can open doors for them but they will never be allowed to become a thorn in Israel's side. And even of they do by some miracle Istaeli Nukes will turn Egypt into a cinder block.

The Military ceased over 95% of its archives and files from being shared with domestic, professional outlets and publishers since early 20th century, they deal with the Egyptian Public as people who are not qualified to explore their operations and doctrine...

Egypt’s rejection of having a single source of weapons has been clear since the 70s and was stressed on in “Phoenix Over The Nile” when the authors interviewed EAF ranks. Egypt believes it’s incapability of insuring constant supply of weapons, spares from a source country in the time of war could force it to reaching out for a ceasefire when at a bad battlefield situation. As well as serving as a “pressure card” to help an F-35 deal go though. Meteors will likely be supplied when the new batch of Rafales arrive. The current fleet is rumored to be a step back from deploying Meteors, especially because a non-NATO variant wasn’t complete.
JF-17 vs Rafale? Perhaps you demand Egypt to deploy to India-Pakistan borders? Either way the Rafale still has a better quality Radar, EW and likely more effective munition in the future.

That’s the main problem chasing the Egyptian Military... Egypt needs to break the Israeli Lobbying Shield.

Idont know whether even China would want to help them against the Israelis. The Zionist network controls too much for China to take any risks and frankly why sbould China take on another war it cannot afford.

I am not saying EAF would deploy Rafales against the PAFs JF-17, I am saying what difference would a Rafale make without a proper BVR missile? in that case even F16 mlu/JF17s armed with AMRAAM/PL15s would make minced meat of the Rafale or any jet confronted without a BVR missile.

None of your points make any sense. How does have a diverse supply of different jets protect against possible sanctions? if anything it further complicates the supply chain during sanctions. If the west sanctions you then your mirages/rafales/f16s are pretty useless.

My question is are EAFs SU-35s/Mig29s armed with a proper BVR missile? even so the reputation for russian bvr missiles is well known since the Russians tend to focus more on their ground control radars/SAM missile systems far more than BVR long range engagements.

My guess is Israel would never even come close to using nukes against Egypt because they would simply destroy the egyptian forces in a conventional battle. That is the reality today. Unfortunately even if all arab militaries combined today to attack Israel I still dont see them winning due to a lack of weapons, indiginous technology, training, lack of coordination, supply chain constraints, lack of innovation, and lack of independant thinking.

There is Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan left.

Turkey has an Ok airforce with hundreds of F16s and a good army with the best drone force of the 3. yet they lack BVR jets, long range cruise/ballistic missile tech, and proper training (erdogan has purged so many officers/pilots).

Iran has a great missile force, proxies, good drone force, and an ok army. Yet at best they are only a nuisance for Israel/America. They lack a airforce, and a strong army. Also they have very limited number of ballistic/cruise missiles that they can actually use against Israel, though their missiles have shown to be very accurate.

Then there is Pakistan, has a strong army, a strong drone force (though not as strong as turkeys), a strong air force, with hundreds of BVR capable jets and dozens of awacs/support aircraft. Pakistan also has a very capable missile force and influential proxies. Pakistan is the only country that could fight toe to toe with Israel and win. Imagine if Israel neighbored the likes of Pakistan/ISI I dont see them lasting more than a few months let alone 7 decades :D

In many ways Pakistan has held off x10 larger neighbors such as India, the USSR, and now the Americans. That is a combined population of 2+ billion against 200 million. Pakistan has punched more than x10 above its weight consistantly since its creation in 1947 and shown results. What would a measley 8 million israelis do against us?

Unfortunately our geographical presence limits our influence/reach within the greater levant region (Israel/jordan/syria/lebanon). For that we need the arabs to take the lead and unite to provide us a proper land bridge to station our forces in the levant and do chemo on the cancer.

The rafales still deploy MICA EMs and I personally trust their quality, the Rafale has its own coating and reduced radar signature that would reduce the effective range of anything coming its way. Spectra has been more effective than the F-16s had to offer and one needs to put in mind how easy/hard it is to jam the BVR Missiles small radars.

I did not mention sanctions at all.
Egypt gets supplied by country X and country X ends up not supporting Egypt in a war (to favor another country or because of domestic pressure or even a UN Ceasefire demand) and then another country Y would still be supporting Egypt making the air fleet obtained from Y operational at time where fleet from X is not.
The chances that X and Y reaching a common ground would always be difficult.

The author is talking about BARS radar while the SU-35 has IRBIS radar with LPI .. whitch makes the article still much less credible..
