Chinese drones; an Egyptian weapon to hunt down terrorists

Egypt is pursuing a special strategy to enter the world of UAVs and is building a fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles, having recently signed a new shipment of long-range aircraft with China's for CH-5. Egypt will be the first country to start operation of this type after China, which has a range of 6,500 km and 60 continuous flying hours, and can carry 24 air to surface missiles. Egyptian forces tested it last June.

The sources told the "Arabs" that there are huge construction that has been done to develop the infrastructure of Egyptian airports near the eastern border, most notably Miles and Siwa, to accommodate the attack helicopters and drones to participate heavily in anti-terrorism operations in Sinai and Western Sahara.

It added that the Egyptian UAV program aims to build and use aircraft with a range of 10,000 km to cover 90 percent of Libyan territory.

Cairo has also begun a joint manufacture with Beijing of the Wing Long aircraft, and is working with Russia, France and South Korea to arm the Egyptian army with this type of aircraft to monitor the border and fight militias on its eastern and western borders.

Great news.

Egypt was also the country that started the anti-USA resolution in the United Nations a few days back? The one that made Donald Trump and Nikki Haley cry all over the floor. :P

6,500 km with 24 missiles, damn. That's a longer range than India's most advanced ballistic missiles.

That would be pretty impressive.

A cheap way to deal with MB/ISIS rats , could multiple drones be used to destroy small dams in Sudan ?

Does range 6500KM means operational range (operational radius) or maximum linear distance (ferry range?)

Why aint Pakistan going for it?

Yes I would want to know, why hasn't Pakistan opted for something like this which provides 24 hours and continuous surveillance against our stinking enemy?

Load on paf will go down. Operating costs 24 hours cover to ground forces.

Out of all the great stuff Egypt has learned and bought from China, the WingLoong and CH-5 Rainbow have been crunnching verminial cretinecal insectisoids like it's nobody's busy! These are such great UCAVs that they're building dedicated bases for them. When they bought them, they started flying them from shared, military bases and the extermination of insects has been so good that now they're building strictly UAV bases for them.

I don't really mind the EAF using them on actual legitimate targets like the verminical ISIS in the Sinai, but the fact that they more often use them to back a war criminal in east Libya is what worries me more. Last week he raided the central bank. And I'm not even joking. Their support for him might actually make more terrorists than eradicate them. For example, 17 people were killed due to airstrikes from Egypt on Derna, which actually kicked the vermin out of their city back in 2015, and most of those killed were children. This might serve to make more terrorists out of those who have previously were indifferent about Egypt and Haftar.
