"but there will be no military action for Egypt with the NATO countries"

Of course not, and I hope never! lol. Otherwise, this is good news and a good way to expand mutual interests and to benefit Egypt in strategic cooperation, maybe even open the door for at least some advanced, military exercises with NATO countries than there has been. Bring our new, Russian equipment to the party. :-)

We already discussed this on the other thread, didn't we? Why bring it up again, and on a thread that has nothing to do with developing a defense industry?

This might help Egypt's defense industries by building some trust with NATO countries.. look at the benefits Turkey gets as a NATO member, so even half of those benefits in ToT will be a good addition.. nothing to lose anyway and some to gain.. the price is Egypt's commitment to help defend Europe from illegal immigration and terrorism.. a win/win again..
