Egypt-China To Build "New Cairo"

In Sudan Chinese companies face huge loses. Specially in oil sector. Due to constant terrorism and civil war.

This is because of the low oil prices. Also Sudan is unfortunately not a wise country to invest in currently as they are ruled by a rabid regime. Al-Bashir has destroyed Sudan. So much potential in that country but it is wasted. Also there is unrest in the border regions of Sudan and South Sudan and also in areas of Darfur. You do not hear this often in the news though so most people do not know about this.

Many Sudanese live illegally in Egypt and search for a better life but there is already too much poverty in Egypt so the state cannot take care of them and they are mostly a burden. So most of them try to cross over into KSA.

It is popular for Sudani Hajis to "disappear" in KSA. Meaning they violate their visa to search for illegal work.

In any case I welcome any good investments in Egypt.

Do you think Egypt would be better of if Mubarik stayed in power ?

They are investing heavily in Africa and in emerging markets elsewhere.

That sounds like a terrible idea to be honest with you. Computers would be a better choice.:enjoy:

That's it for today.

America under Obama cannot be trusted. They were engaging in troublemaking in Egypt as you probably know already. China and Russia are better partners along with some European countries especially France. In any case we are in no position to refuse any partners if they can offer something useful.

Russia is only good for supplying arms but it does not have much more to offer and you need to be careful when dealing with them . China is a reliable economic partner and they do not have imperialistic goals in the middle east like russia and usa . America can never be trust under any administration but you need to keep good ties with them to avoid to at-least keep them neutral if ever egypt enters war with isis in Libya or decide to attack ethiopian dams if negotiations fail .

No. I am very happy with el-Sisi and I think that his rule will leave a very good legacy for Egypt. He has started to tackle some of the problems that were put under the rug during Mubarak. Egypt will rise again. We are talking about the oldest nation state in the world. Over 6000 years of high civilization. For millenniums we were a leading player in the world and region.
2 of the 7 wonders of the ancient world were/are located in Egypt. Only 1 of the 7 wonders is still standing today. The Great Pyramid of Giza. 4600 years old. Think about this for a second.

We have been underperforming for decades for various reasons but this will soon change. I am sure of this. The most populous country in the ME with our history and potential cannot continue to do so forever. Unfortunately we have not been blessed with tons of resources like other countries though. If we had I don't want to think what we could do with all that wealth.

Takfiri terrorist muslims like hezbollah , isis and houthis have no significant presence to stop investments from moving forward in Egypt .

The only concern in Egypt is the dam project with Ethiopia , 3aref law abdulnasser masabsh el sudan kan el mawdoo3 fara2 gamed .

Well, I don't have anything against Russia to be honest with you. I don't like their tactic in Syria but it is hard to pick any side in that mess of a conflict. I just support the Syrian people and their aspirations whatever they are. Syria is a brotherly country for Egypt and we were once 1 country not long ago.

I agree with the US.

I think that we will act in Libya one way or another more actively if the mess there continues or will threaten Western Egypt. So far they are fighting among each other.

Etiophia I don't take seriously for now.

Anyway I really have to go to bed now.

Mahatir, Sudan was a lost cause from the beginning, even under the monarchy. It's better as it is now. It would be a headache otherwise. You know it is a headache when North and South Sudan fought from the beginning to the start and now even fight after independence of South. The problem is Al-Bashir's games. Now for 30 years. Getting tiring.

Killing of any innocent person, if he is Hindu, Jew,Muslim, Christian , wahabi, Shia or Sunni , I am against. I am follower and admirer of Holy Prophet PBUH and his progeny. So, go try you shots somewhere else.

Egypt should take what ever better for nation. Take anything from any nation which is good for Egypt.

Sisi was smart to be neutral on Syria , after all Egypt needs to keep a close eye on Sudan , their regime are playing dirty games in Libya and supporting ethiopia . all of their actions threatens the security and existence of Egypt , if egypt should fire a bullet outside its border it should be on al bashir head , 5aroof ba2a ne2ool eih .

Great news, lets approach these projects with great anticipation, we'll just deal with any issues when they arise. Egypt occupies a good position between Europe & Asia, within an oil rich region with long, deep history to boot. Lets get Egypt's potential up to speed!

Lets hope you stick to this principle .

I don't think that this old fool, given the current state of Sudan, can threaten Egypt seriously in any manner. Besides now KSA has a lot to say in Sudan and KSA would not tolerate such behavior from Sudan let alone other Arab states. Besides we are perfectly capable of dealing with him should he try anything foolish. Right now things are OK between him and us.

Anyway maybe you do not know this but we, Sudan and Ethiopia signed an initial deal on the NIle Dam Project this past October. So there will be cooperation in the interest of all 3 states. This was agreed upon so I doubt that Sudan or Ethiopia would break such a deal.

I cannot yet post any links but visit Ahram and make a search.

ya basha ana 3aref masr aktar ma3raf nafsi , the problem the dam will hold up to 75 billion cubic meters of water, this is exactly the same amount of water that comes out of the nile source " taka lake " . The ethiopians are building the dam at a fast pace and using negotiations just to buy them time until when the dam is complete they force other to accept reality on the ground .

well Chinese are wise thinkers and Egyptians invented geometry..i hope they both will come up with a great projects...

Any Blueprint or full sized model of the proposed project . the OP shows only half of the model
