Egypt Army opens fire on inncocent men & women in SAJDA

Its a coup. Whether its a coup or not isn't the real problem for the US. The problem is that if they declare the move as a coup they would have to cease all military aid which in turn leaves the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty in tatters allowing the Egyptian armed forces to fully re-militarize the Sinai as it sees fit and therefore threatening Israels security. Cancellation of aid may also result in retaliation by either the Egyptian government or the military e.g freight ships flying the USA flag may be refused access from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean leading to a hike in global oil prices and slowing the movement of American warships from one area of the world to another. The movement of American military cargo aircraft through Egyptian air space to the Gulf or anywhere else may also be stopped. The American military industry will also lose one of its most valuable customers. Basically for the 1.5B in US dollars (that doesnt even account to 25% of the Egyptian armed forces budget) they bribe Egypt with they get their interests taken care of, however, if they stop it then they will lose much more than peanuts.

Well the fact of the matter is that Egypt can never remilitarize the senai nor can block the suez. U can argue all you want but your military since the signing of the peace treaty has become an zionist backed and funded army meant to control the political scene of Egypt in favour of US. 30 years of investment of US on Egyptian army didn't come cheap. The fate of egypt is sealed as a US lackey until a visionary statesmen emerges who can unite the country. Seculars/liberals shoot egypt in the foot by ousting a democratic pres. and destroying a system before its inception, a system that could have unified egypt and gave it true freedom & sovereignty.

I hate seculars but admire Gemal abdul nasser to some degree since he was a decent statesmen who made some mistakes. Similarly morsi being a human may have also made some mistakes after inheriting 60 years of dictatorial ruled Egypt and he should have searched for a miagic wand or something that could have rectify all those mistakes of past 60 years in 1 year. Pitty he didn't have a magic wand.

oh please!! People who are justifying this video!! I've seen many where Army is killing protestors. It killed 51 namazi during fajr prayer! NO SOLDIER DIED OR GOT INJURED IN THAT INCIDENT.

Republican Guard incident, 1 Military conscript killed, 1 Police officer killed, over 40 injuries 6 of them critical. Fajr in Egypt is approximately 3:15Am the clashes started at 4:45Am.Most of the MBs claims are false.

Then there is the one where soldiers are firing from rooftops.. a journalist capturing it is also killed. No soldier died in that too

Footage from the Republican Guard incidents. As it was an attack on a military institution the use of lethal force(live fire) was allowed according to Egyptian law. Whether members of the armed forces where complicit in the killings will be decided by a judge lead inquiry.

Then there is a guy with fake beard (without beard in other photos) with fake alqaeda flag and fires on army. no soldier is killed but army uses that excuse to MERCILESSLY KILL more muslims!

He is the perpetrator of this incident. After the incident he fled Alexandria shaved his beard and hair in an attempt to avoid capture, but, he was eventually captured and confessed his crimes.

Well if the peace treaty is cancelled then there wont be any reason not to. Any threats by the American establishment will result in complaints to the UN especially after the precedent the triparthide aggression set.

U can argue all you want but your military since the signing of the peace treaty has become an zionist backed and funded army meant to control the political scene of Egypt in favour of US.

The political scene in Egypt is of little interest to the US. The US only cares about the security of the Seuz canal and Israel. As for Zionist backed and funded I would ask you what the Egyptian military and its leadership did a few years before 1979?

I would also ask you why anti-tank teams still train on Merkava mocks.

30 years of investment of US on Egyptian army didn't come cheap.

Considering the US militarys budget in one year is over $600 billion it does come cheap.

The fate of egypt is sealed as a US lackey until a visionary statesmen emerges who can unite the country.

The age of the statesman in Egypt is over. What Egypt seeks is a civil servant and until that's achieved no ones going to shutup.

Seculars/liberals shoot egypt in the foot by ousting a democratic pres. and destroying a system before its inception, a system that could have unified egypt and gave it true freedom & sovereignty.

Im tired of going over simple democratic principles and how the MB were not in favour of setting up a political process in Egypt. Refer to my posts in the main thread. Morsi was never going to hurt US interests and didn't.

I hate seculars but admire Gemal abdul nasser to some degree since he was a decent statesmen who made some mistakes.

Religion is muddied by politics and vise versa.

Similarly morsi being a human may have also made some mistakes after inheriting 60 years of dictatorial ruled Egypt and he should have searched for a miagic wand or something that could have rectify all those mistakes of past 60 years in 1 year. Pitty he didn't have a magic wand.

Egyptians arent naive or impatient we are an old struggling and fighting nation, we can handle much more than what the majority of world can due to our deep nationalism. Morsi wasn't overthrown for his mismanagement (although it contributed) but for breaching his mandate and trying to change the fabric of Egyptian society. No one expected miracles just reforms (that never came).

What this coup has done is give a free hand to the army (overwhelmingly powerful on which US has unparalleled influence) to have the ultimate control on any future elected gov. Elected gov will just be a figure head, a civilian show case and it would take decades of struggle and a strong man leadership to change that

You do realize that the MB came to power in elections that were organized by the military after a transitional period when the military was in control? pretty similar to what we have now.

Yeah and since thy lost power... they wanted it back. ElBeradi, a western stooge hated by egyptians (got 2% of the vote compared to 60% by MB), who also authored a fake report on Iraq WMDs is now in a prominent position. Many more like him.

How much time did army give MB.. ?

Anyways ths thread is not about Egypts govt system but about thr atrocities the army is committing.

Albaradei didn't contest any elections. Isn't hated by most Egyptians by the way.

The army has been trying to hold national reconciliation talks for the past six months. The Morsi regime refused attending national reconciliation talks. The military also provided a week before June 30th.

Anyways ths thread is not about Egypts govt system but about thr atrocities the army is committing.

The military has been involved in the killing of 51 protestors (armed and unarmed). If the military was set on committing atrocities the number of dead would have been in the hundreds or thousands.

Sure they wanted power, just like the MB did before that and etc, nothing new.

I don't care for El Bradei either. But you have to admit that the MD failed to react to the will of the people: the mass protests. This was not the first time such were held against their political moves. 60% no longer support the MB in Egypt but it seem many millions are actively against them.

It looks like the media will start blaming Egyptian army for killing people, just like in Syria... terrorists shot at protesters and they blamed the Army for it...

.
^ Stupid ppl defending. It can be seen that Army from the left started firing. you can see a protestor initially rasing his hands towards them and standing defiantly.

After the crowd starts running, you can see some people turning back and becoming definat. Then everyone starts returning! yeh this time soldiers fired in air (above their heads) but many a times bastards have shot many protestors.

You kill 51 people and 1 guy gets killed in return in terrorism.. just like Israeli Army! shame

.
one other thing -- i dont see bullets hitting the ground or ricocheting near where these worshipers are praying

of course they ran for safety in fear of hearing the firing. But the firing I think took place on the other side of the building. Nobody here was injured. I saw one guy on the ground, and then he got up and walked away.

this could be a propaganda by those hoping to incite against Egyptian military.

the camera would be able to hear bullets whizzing by..you hear bullets hitting the ground; you see sparks and bits of road flashing

these people were not the target

so everyone here -- calm down

Yeah, u did a PHD from a grainy video! wow.

Soldiers on the left standing on APC started firing above the heads of the namazis.. Since they have done it before and killed many, ppl panicked and started running!! Then some ppl became defiant, faced the soldiers, rasied their hands and came back!!

shameful act of the imperial army

a ******'s biggest enemy is the home country's armed forces. Stuff like this reminds me of the early days of the "revolution" in syria but its nice to see Egypt army in control.

Then if as you say the soldiers where firing indiscriminately from meters away why wasn't this gentleman shot or was he calling for someone else to stop firing?

After the crowd starts running, you can see some people turning back and becoming definat. Then everyone starts returning! yeh this time soldiers fired in air (above their heads) but many a times bastards have shot many protestors.
Yet no one was killed in this incident.......

How can the military open fire on people praying from meters away and miss every shot?

And why would a large group run back towards them if they firing at them.

You kill 51 people and 1 guy gets killed in return in terrorism.. just like Israeli Army! shame
Now that you have nothing intelligent to say (you didn't in the first place but whatever) all you can do is compare the Egyptian military to the Israeli defence force. The protesters inf ront of the Republican Guard officers club were there for 4 days prior to the incident why didn't the security forces open fire on the first, second or third day they were there?

Yeah, u did a PHD from a grainy video! wow.

Soldiers on APC's would fire downwards if they miss their spot you would see a spark and hear a crackle. Bullets passing by at least three meters meters by your head you would hear a whiz. You don't need video when you have audio.

Soldiers on the left standing on APC started firing above the heads of the namazis.. Since they have done it before and killed many, ppl panicked and started running!! Then some ppl became defiant, faced the soldiers, rasied their hands and came back!!

This happened before the Republican Guard incident.

shameful act of the imperial army

a.) when you're having gunfire --small arms or LMG -- you WILL hear the bullets whizzing by you; you'll see fragments of asphalt sparking off the ground...did you hear any of those things

b.) if they were firing toward them, it would be a blood bath...not a single soul was injured here. The one guy who is on the ground dove for cover. He got up unharmed"

c.) look at the APCs.....where are the barrels pointed? Answer that question, then you wont be confused

One guy ran, then everyone ran. You cant blame them. People are on edge, there have been killings. This however was not an effort by the army to just do target practice on people doing Salat!! Most likely there was firing going off adjacent to the building somewhere else.

and based on some videos i've seen --- when you throw chairs at armed soldiers (who serve your country); when a wild mob goes and beats a soldier to a pulp; when you throw rocks, fireworks and use improvised (or real) weapons at soldiers who are there because they are ORDERED to be there -- then you WILL be shot.

people need to calm down and let order be restored"

this video however is just mis-titled and its being used for propaganda - to weaken the image of the military and turn people against them

Egypt should be declared the 51st state of US. That way western interest would be served better. Egyptian army, copts and seculars don't seem to have any problem with it. :coffee:

tell that to the protesters (many copts among them) who were actually infuriated with the U.S.

im not talking about "before" kid - im talking about this video

not a single casualty

its clear that the firing was directed elsewhere....gunfire is loud and you can hear it from afar ---just in case you didnt realize that.

Gamal Abdel Nasser was like Zulfikar Ali Bhutto -- in fact a mirror reflection of him

had charisma, very hot-tempered and nationalistic -- but in the end, screwed the economy with their marxist/socialist policies and their nationalization of industries

as for Morsi -- if 31 million Egyptians were in the street marching against him and wanted him out, then so be it. Some of his last 2 speeches were pretty inflammatory. Also sad to see nothing being done about sectarian violence in the country, and weapons coming in from Libya (a shyt load of them, and i know for a fact)

either way -- Egypt relies a lot on tourism and this period has been devastating for its economy. I hope a political solution is reached quickly. Though it may take longer than hoped.
