Edward Snowden's revelation; GCHQ monitored Pakistan's communication data

. . .
Snowden, who has been residing in Moscow, revealed the shocking information during an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
Not a shocking information. Just a routine matter in Intelligence. Britishers are interested in pakistan specially in karachi.
Important thing is the reason behind such revelation when COAS visited UK recently

For your information Cisco is American brand.
So only american can share or catch our important data.

so they taped my late night long calls with my EX-GF:undecided:

Hope they were not disappointed:cheesy:

Anyways i m not sure why people are so shocked, this is classic international diplomacy knowing the stuff others know.

I m sure if we are in their positions we would do the same

. .
and remind me why is this in Pakistan Army section??
as far as my knowledge dictates - Systems with classified info are off the internet, those concerned are even using internet at their homes in VM environment -----
The CISCO reverse engineering hack led me to the thought that - all this hacking, spying shit, and yet they are having hard time spotting ISIS commander?? i mean seriously - those guys are as active on Twitter as any Jackhammer enjoying his video game and posting stupid selfies all day long ---- how about tracking them down???

You know very very little about IT ; makes your title look very bad !

Snowden, who has been residing in Moscow, revealed the shocking information during an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

Snowden stated that to access such data, an exploitation of computer network was used. He stated that the information was accesed by hacking routers of CISCO. Snowden also stated that the spying was done with the permission of the British government.

Snowden stated that the apparent aim of such an act was to aid in the identification of terrorists.

The British government has refused to comment on Snowden’s revelations.
Snowden also revealed that it is almost impossible to protect the access of data of modern day smart phones from the security agencies.

How would monitring of Pakistani GCHQ aid in identification of terrorists? I hope somebody asks that question off Snowden or whoever said this!

a predominant amount of cisco hardware is made abroad, especially China; and about 20% of software is from their India center (this is a few years ago, I'd assume Indian software conttent would have gone up since then(

Unrestricted snooping in on citizens is ok?

And it has everything to do with everyone else's rights.

No it doesn't. All information is flowing into their databases no matter what. Not because they are snooping on them. Only specific targets or interests. Snowden says he was defending American rights and privacy, not Russian or Chinese or any other countries or their militarizes or their leaders, etc.

so they taped my late night long calls with my EX-GF:undecided:

Unless you talk about bombings, they have no interest in your life.

.
well i think its time pakistan learned its lesson and ditch european and american equipment and go for chinese

Why is everybody always so shocked when it's revealed that countries spy on each other?
Hi,

Because apparently it hurts the reputation of working together for a better world or better yet, all united against terrorism

LOL So you think its today countries have been doing this? Its has been going on for as long as one can remember. Do you think this will stop countries from working together? NOPE it won't.:D Things will continue like nothing happened, after a few weeks or months at best everybody would have forgotten about this and we will all move on as always.:enjoy:
