EDGE is participating for the second time in the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference “UMEX 2022” as the event’s official strategic partner, the region’s largest advanced technology group for defense and other fields, and one of the 25 largest military suppliers in the world.

EDGE will display more than 20 innovative solutions and products in the areas of services, unmanned systems and precision-guided systems during the fifth edition of the event, which runs from February 21 to 23 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center “ADNEC”.

Mansour Al Mulla, CEO and Managing Director of Edge Group, said: “Our main business priorities include focusing on our capabilities in the field of autonomous systems in order to enhance national and regional defense capabilities, and export to key markets, and we are constantly looking for additional areas in which we can invest our capabilities in research and development and this is reflected in Our ability to quickly bring more and more drones, smart munitions, and other unmanned systems to market.

He added, “While Adasi and Hulk are two industry leaders, UMEX offers us a unique opportunity to introduce our services, showcase our products to stakeholders, and reap the benefits of our collective endeavor towards a secure future.

In addition to launching new products, EDGE will showcase a range of Halken unmanned and precision-guided systems, such as the RW-24 mobile munition; the Shadow 25 and Shadow 50 drones; HUNTER series of drones and launch tubes; the recently launched REACH-S unmanned combat aircraft; In addition, EDGE is showcasing ADASSI products such as the QX series of unmanned aerial vehicles, the SCORPIO family of ground-based unmanned vehicles, as well as the Garmousha unmanned aerial vehicle, and the Nimr robotic Agban armed vehicle.

It is worth noting that UMEX is the only event in the Middle East dedicated to drones, robots, unmanned systems and their components. The exhibition and conference, which is held every two years, attracts international delegations and decision makers from the defense and aviation sector, as well as high-level officials from major institutions in the government sector and private.

UMEX provides the opportunity for EDGE to showcase its latest capabilities and ground-breaking solutions, placing it at the forefront of the future.

Edge showcased its squadrons of unmanned aerial vehicles, which are based on the Hunter 2 series of unmanned aerial vehicles developed by Halcon, a leading regional producer and supplier of precision-guided weapons and unmanned aerial systems. The ground-launched drones are designed to ensure decisiveness in the fight, and they fly according to a specific formation to perform a coordinated mission that confuses the opponent.

Leveraging advanced artificial intelligence technology, tactical drones share information with each other to track and maintain their relative positions, and to engage targets effectively.

The drone squadron has a maximum take-off weight of 8kg with a high level of intelligence and response as it is directed towards the target, which may include enemy combat aircraft on the runway at a military base, or a convoy coming from enemy armor, for example.

The drones are equipped to operate at speeds that ensure a successful mission, with a wide communication range and high flight endurance. The winged drone can be launched within seconds, and it has a wingspan of 1.44 meters and a length of 1.25 meters.

Small-sized drones that fly in combinations of 2 to 8 aircraft that may be for suicide, reconnaissance and information-gathering..

A small drone, but one of the smartest robots ever made by Edge..

This machine has technology to the extent that it is dedicated only to assassinations and valuable targets, it will be dedicated to the UAE army with Nameer vehicles and special forces, and also for the navy..

The number and types of cameras on it, are not just normal, that's why they are dedicated to valuable targets .. and there is also a version with less cameras that will be made specifically for special forces..

There are graduates from Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Saab, Khalifa University, Emirates University, Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence, Seoul University, Colleges of Technology and even the University of Sharjah.. Tawazun hijacked them and employed them in the Military industrial sector.. and not to forget the foreign experts from all countries working for Tawazun company who plans to launch a system of student missions to the best technological and industrial institutes in industrialized countries, including Russia, S Korea, the US, Germany, France, India, Sweden, Turkey (in the future), Israel..

The company aims to raise the number of its employees to be 25,000! In the period between 2025-2030 .. Currently, the company has 14,000 employees..

The ability to launch 21 suicide drones from a single launcher

Powered by AI and networking, Swarming Drones achieve different angles of attack, deflecting target's defenses, engulfing it and destroying it..

That reach-s reminds me of TB2
Almost same aerodynamics.. but different in the concept of the wings, other characteristics and the Engine.. might be as efficient as the TB2 in combat.. maybe more ..maybe less..
