Bio-metric system is not and must not be a condition for the local body elections. I can see that like Sindh and Punjab, the KPK government is also making use of all sorts of excuses to delay the local body elections for as long as they could. Census is nowhere in sight and same is also true for the bio-metric system; what does it mean? that the local body elections will never be held?

What is wrong with the present system? Did PTI not come into power in KPK through the same system? Now that PTI is running the show in the KPK, cant she ensure maximum possible transparency in the local body elections? Worst come worst, upon complaints, the constituencies can always be opened for review. What is the problem here? Sorry but I am not buying this excuse from the PTI.

p.s. but as you said, excuses dont win hearts.. it is corner pillar of democracy to hold LB elections. PTI failing gives excuse to PMLN/PPP not to conduct LB elections.

besides PTI's basic objective is to destroy the two family monarchy, what other way is there but LB election, empowering the unit level people?

We got to ignore fools. If the issue is with funds that are not being released to EC for local body elections, PTI should take the matter to the court.

the matter is already in SC, the court had given time til 15th of Nov to provincial govt and ECP to settle the issue and conduct LB elections.. and thus far, I dont see any progress, only excuses from governments and ECP..

they could have pressed for LB election which they did not. so I wont give PTI govt benefit of the doubt.. take responsibility, not make excuses.

if they are ready to hold elections by waiving off bio-matric system, fair enough.. lets do it.

there is no democracy without devolution of power.

Maybe, but the point I was trying to make was that LB elections held in Balochsitan regardless of excuses given by the EC and/or the federal government. If they could be held in Balochistan almost a year ago, they should have not taken this long in KPK unless of course there was/is something fishy.

like I said excuses is not what I want from PTI. so whether there was something fishy or not, I want democracy installed in Pakistan with common man empowered that is the ultimate goal.
