He said that the order of the Supreme Court in connection with the verification of the voters lists in Karachi would be implemented in letter and spirit.
This he stated in separate meetings with representatives of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), the PML-F, the Awami National Party (ANP), the National Peoples Party (NPP), the Jamaat-e-Islami and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) at the Election Commission of Pakistans camp office here in the last two days.

The CEC hoped that the work in this regard would begin next week.
He also assured the representatives of the political and religious parties that the EC would spare no effort for holding free, fair and impartial general elections in the country, and that no one would be allowed to violate the code of conduct.
The representatives of the political parties also put forward various suggestions for preparing transparent and flawless voters lists.
