Economic corridor is all on PM’s mind

But how can we do so when our real economy is on virtual stand still? Tax revenues can't be judiciously enhanced unless real economy doesn't grow. That's why I always say, we need to kick start our economy by hook or by crook first.

Yes Sir, that is why I said the following in Post #2:

NS should realize that the lack of progress with the grandiose projects he has "on his mind" has less to do with "incompetence and lack of commitment" and more to do with "WE HAVE NO MONEY!". If he wants progress, he should arrange for proper financing of the projects he wishes to see completed during his tenure.

It might be easier for NS to blame "incompetence" nad "lack of commitment" but he is mistaken. It is the lack of money for his projects that is the real problem. He would be well-advised to concentrate on that aspect rather than scolding the babus.

Daantnay ka koi faida nahi ho gaa. Paisa aaye gaa to project mukammal hon gey, warnaa nahi.

Economic corridor is a cash cow for Pakistan and a risk free route for Chinese trade. At the moment a ship bound to South Chinese Harbor spends around 2 weeks in Indian Ocean which means China's trade route is potentially threatened by all of its potential adversaries (India,US sitting in Diego Garcia, South Korea, Vietnam and of course the Taiwan). Pak-China Rail-link coupled with the blessings of deep sea port at Gawadar can virtually insulate Chinese from any threat while ensure high-speed rail and land transit in a matter of days. On the other hand, If Chinese Navy is allowed a base near Gawadar, the tables will effectively be turned upon all the adversaries whose trade routes will be at the target of Chinese Navy. This means that Gawadar can be more beneficial to China than Pakistan herself so I don't think Pakistan will face any issues in getting financing from Chinese on this cash cow. For Pakistan, it can earn hundreds of billions in lie of freight carriage alone via railways and road transportation. And importantly, once Pak-China link is active, we can always expand this to Central Asia. Be mindful that the transportation costs for US through Russia, Central Asia links were 4 times higher than Pakistan. So this corridor can provide Central Asia an economic access to round the year trade routes. In short, the potential is virtually limitless for both Pakistan and China.

actually we dont have money because of zero direct taxes
we dont have money because of enormous (500 billion) fualty govt owned insitution
we dont have money because of govt refusal to privitze that
we dont have money because of govt lack of investing in crucial projects first
misplace priorities

if govt just privitize 25% shars and handover them to privite sector it can yied over 1000 billion ruppees
the govt owned bank markets value alone is in excess of 300 billion rupees

it should then invest this money in dams and other earning projects
Govt to sell state-owned companies, including PSO and Pakistan Steel Mills – The Express Tribune

That is ALL wishful thinking on our part Sir. Gwadar will be an important port for us, no doubt, but the rest is all hype that will never materialize.
