I wonder my brother @A-Team -- does he get a say in eating grass?
If he got a vote: what would his vote be?

A friend of mine proposed a thought experiment on seeing this:
1. If a Pakistani child of similar background was given a vote on the hardship he/she suffered for Pakistan's nuclear program: what would their vote be?
2. If Pakistani family of a child of similar background was given a vote on the hardship he/she suffered for Pakistan's nuclear program: what would their vote be?
3. If this poor boy in Pakistan was given a vote on: would he want Afghanistan to be a part of some arrangement like a confederation with Pakistan where every citizen is equal: what would his vote be?
4. If this poor boy's family was given a vote on: Afghanistan to be a part of some arrangement like a confederation with Pakistan where every citizen is equal: what would his vote be?
5. If you (@A-Team) had to eat the same grass this boy has to eat and were given a vote on would you settle instead with Afghanistan as a part of some arrangement like a confederation with universal franchise: what would your vote be?
6. If me (@pakistani342) had to eat the same grass this boy has to eat and was given a vote on the hardship he/she suffered for Pakistan's nuclear program: what would my vote be?

I'm curious azeezzam (@A-Team) what your answers to the above six question would be ;-) -- not the answers you may or may not choose to post here on this form but the answers that:

A) you are thinking of, if these few words are able to provoke your mind ?
B) and what would your answers be 10 years from now, 20 years from now?
C) and the answers if you were really in this poor boys position position by?

The other very important thing is to read are the comments posted -- you will find deep sympathy and the idiotic jingoistic banter -- you can see Pakistanis, the vast majority take no pleasure in Afghan misery

The still other very important thing is to imagine what the comments would be say this was the boy of Pakistani skilled laborer in Afghanistan today ;-)

[now I have to go sip my cappuccino ...] and beratheram, do enjoy your strategic partnership and interlinkedness with Modi sab [I'm sure he is heart broken by this image]

A heartbreaking image of a young Afghan refugee breaking down upon receiving his school leaving certificate is doing the rounds on the internet.

The boy was reportedly born in a Peshawar refugee camp in Pakistan, where his parents have been living for several decades.

I see a lot of sympathy and introspection in the comment sections, along with some apathy. There are even Pakistanis on a nationalistic forum like this who disagree with kicking out the refugees. Then we have our politicians, from ethnic nationalist parties like the ANP to right-wing religious ones like the JI who criticize removing the refugees.

I have struggled to seen similar feelings shared by our Western neighbour. Maybe its because the pro-Pakistani Afghans are the poorest denomination of Pashtuns living near our border with no internet access and with little presence in the media. Maybe its because supporting Pakistan will get you labelled an ISI agent. At the end of the day though, it seems to be only Pakistanis who have compassion for the Afghans and not the other way around. I'm glad this thread came up because I've always wanted to ask @A-Team if he can share information on milder Afghan political parties or civil groups which don't celebrate every terror attack in Pakistan or dream of it becoming another Iraq.

I feel really sorry about genuine refugees!

Oh you stupid power hungry ***** NA, what have you done?

Do you realize that not even 1% of your refugees will be accepted by India so why licking their feet?

I feel so sad and enraged at the same time!

. .
these refugees did not pay any taxes...ran unregistered business and gained identification documents illegally...if they legalized their status as residents and paid taxes to the state this would not be a problem...plus their ungrateful country is sucking up to India, defames Pakistan all over the world and is a source of sheltering terrorist active in Baluchistan...These deported refugees will act as a pressure group on Kabul government....

most Afghani are running crime rackets and because they are undocumented it is impossible to catch..whether you want to target kill someone or throw acid on your ex-fiancee..there is always rent-a-afghani for any service...

.
I feel sad for this poor Kid. But sorry, Now we can't afford 3.5+ million refugee . Enough 35+ years. Now, its time to go..
Let see, Even if their brother country india can feed even quarter of them.

.
heart breaking and sad. I really feel sad about this and thousands others like him, but that is why it is so important for people to choose their leaders carefully because blunders done by their leaders (Karzai and Ghani) are ruining lives of millions of Afghans.

India is their second home if they cannot live in Afghanistan go to India...because India is not feeling the burden of hosting 4 million refugees for 35+ years it is showing its haramzadgi in Afghanistan...if these refugees were in India..BJP goons would be lynching them publicly....

Dont worry Afghani loyalty and Afghani women are always available for sale to highest bidder....these deported refugees will get a first hand taste of India-Afghan brotherhood and will act as pressure group on Kabul regime as welll!

Enjoy friendship with modi jee!

I know what you are saying, but just thinking about the kid, this may very well be a life changing event for the innocent kid, I hope and pray he can continue his education and grows up to be a useful citizen.

This is sad. Very sad but it was always going to happen. It was impossible to assimilate and absorb the people of another nation.

We don't like the situation anymore than this kid. We just can't..... Circumstances have changed. We just can't keep the refugees anymore. Bcz of our own people, our own poverty and our own requirement.

I know the civil war is horrific in Afghanistan and reaching its peak but we too have our limitations to consider.

But of course the refugees don't care about politics or internal and external issues. The refugees don't but you can't ignore these issues.

To the kid and those going back. Good luck and build your nation up. Stop this madness of hatred against pakistan as you are the only force that can go back and bring that change. That hatred will destroy Afghanistan. Only you can stop them from destroying themselves.

It was always going to end. The thing that went wrong is that it took too long to end. The war took too long. These kids are born in pakistan. They don't know anything about Afghanistan. This is where it went wrong. The afghan war which continues to this day took so long that a new generation of refugees took birth.

Never the less. We must harden our hearts. The repatriation must continue. They must go back to their homeland.

A nation which pushed us into eating grass for defenses should not enjoy our hospitality...gone is USSR, gone is Greater Afganistan, gone is Pukhtonistan...and present is Pakistan...

.
I feel sad for the boy, however, he should make an appointment with Ghani. Pakistan sheltered, clothed, fed, and honoured these people in our cities, yet they took us for granted. Now expect to see our dark side.

.
Dont care any more

We have our own poor, our own suffering

We Pakistanis have put up with alot but namak harami whilst plotting against us with hindus is unforgivable

Afghans will regret making a enemy out of Pakistan
