Excellent remake - the best so far - i love dune - have seen the films/series so many times - one day - and i mean, one day i will read the books ( when i am retired - as they are meant to be really heavy going ! ).

I do wonder if they will try and make the subsequent books or not - as the story gets a lot more complex and weird...

From the trailer it seems nonsense. The trailer of the first part called the conflict a "Crusade" instead of "Jihaad" and I skipped that film as it was more a graphics spectacle than any deep story ( which the books are ). It was also Politically Correct as the ecology Liet Kynes was made a Woman and Black instead of the male in the books.

Better I have watched was the TV series from the 2000s. Watched it on YT but now the uploads have been removed.

I will give the second part film try since I love the books too much to not give any film representation an analytical try.

Lastly, you don't seem a Dune person but more a Star Wars, Marvel Universe, Independence Day, Random Hollywood Action type.
