Dual national behind banned outfit arrested trying to enter Pakistan

PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a dual national – involved in anti-state activities and a banned outfit – while he was trying to enter Pakistan via the Torkham border crossing.

A statement issued by the investigation agency named the accused as Umar Dawood Khattak from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district and said he was arrested while carrying an Afghan passport and identity card. He was arrested on August 21.

After verification, the FIA said, it was revealed that Khattak had made multiple trips to India and was involved in anti-Pakistan activities.




After the arrest, Khattak was moved to FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking and Smuggling wing in Peshawar. Further investigation revealed that Khattak had also been placed on the exit control list (ECL) by law enforcement agencies (LEAs).

Khattak is currently in judicial custody.

Last month, the FIA arrested an Indian national with a fake Pakistani identity card from Gujranwala. Deputy Director FIA Amir Nawaz said that the Indian national, Pancham Tiwari, hailed from Banaras and is a businessman in India.

Sources said Tiwari had been living in Pakistan for the past decade. He has three children and is married to a Pakistani woman. In his defence, Tiwari told FIA that he conducted business with Kamran, a Pakistani citizen, in 2009. Influenced by Kamran, he abandoned Hinduism and converted to Islam. He said Kamran offered him a place to stay and his sister’s hand in marriage because he could not return to India as a Muslim.

He also told the FIA that he made his way to Karachi via the sea route of human smuggling. Upon reaching Karachi, Tiwari met Kamran’s uncle who renamed him Bilal and made a fake identity card under his new name.

It is an irony to see political crap hired in NADRA/FIA sold their country's pride for few thousand rupees.

Show it to me the other way round, get an original Afghan ID? it is only in the land of the pure people sell the pride of their nation their identity for few thousand.

Back in the day while working for my organization abroad had a close working relationship with law enforcement people from across the globe, on this one case we visited KSA and had to investigate one person who was in prison for drug smuggling carrying a Pakistani passport, KSA had withheld his death penalty on the request of Interpol due to his suspected link with someone. When we met him he could barely speak a word or two of urdu, no punjabi, no sindhi, no balochi, yet he said he was Pakistani and from agencies.

Incidentally my wife too was travelling along me for umrah, I requested her help being expert in Pashto and the agency he was claiming to be from border her city of origin. Within one minute she told us and him that his pashto was neither of the agency he was telling and did not seem to be Pakistani. We told our Saudi counterparts well next morning he told us the he was from Helmund Afghanistan, and that it is part of their training whenever caught they should tell they are Pakistanis and not Afghan.

Some of the good Saudi friends told us that it is very common to find afghani criminals carrying pakistani passport, all thanks to politciains who in order to increase their vote banks got these cretin Pakistani IDs and the ba*tard political hiring in NADRA who keep selling our pride for few thousands.

BTW: I have seen the same thing in Canada, USA and Holland any Afghan caught will always claim to be Pakistani.

While we criticize the Afghans it is time we should start criminal proceedings under Article 6 to those who verified Afghan documents and those NADRA personnel who issued them the IDs.

Their was some reason we didn't have a foreign Minister for FOUR YEARS and our Defence and future foreign Minister was an employee of a firm based in UAE. The whole cabinet was filled with Iqama holders. It didn't happen just by chance, it was all by design.

So---india started a campaign on their behalf---. Once he gets in power---Nawaz will make pakistan financially bankrupt---for that reason we saw all these superhighways and these bus lines---with massive costs---.

Our investment should have been done in the railways---because 90% of our cities are next to railway line---. Railways can carry as much load as it can---.

Roads cannot---these heavy over loaded trucks destroy the roads within 3--6 months---.

A 20 mile main super highway road between lahore Islamabad or multan sukkur costs more than the cost of all the heavy duty trucks in pakistan---.

There are still thousands and thousands of Afghans and Irani Baloch in Gulf working on Pakistani passports..they have never been to Pakistan, their identities and passports are renewed from embassies and consulates. Many of these people are also caught in narcotic smuggling and human trafficking which leads to defamation of Pakistan.
