Political subjugation eventually leads to subjugation of the people. Japanese government is the primary culprit here. As you say, the US military is doing just what they are trained to do: To kill or subjugate in any form possible, including harming civilians.

I pity the Japanese, reduced to a American colony. Chinese might be poor, but at least we are free from foreign occupation. Better to die a Chinese ghost than to live a life of an American poodle.
