Lets make it clear, killing terrorists is not what we are against, we are against the continued intrusions. If th PA or Govt. is authorising it, then it should come clean and say, that look, we dont have the technology of these drones, and that is why we are authorising them. We give the coordinates, they do the firing, this should be made public if it is the case.

If not, then take some bloody action.

Well, another thing we can do is to take these drones on a lease, take off and land from Pakistani soil, controlled by Pakistani operators. But that ain't gonna happen huh?

^^ I've been saying this from day 1 here for me. These operations are impossible without in-depth cooperation and intelligence from various Pakistani institutions.

A shell game is being played here. GOP and/or P. military does not want to bee seen involved with the drones. They want deniability, because inevitably, in any form of warfare, there will be innocent deaths. They are unavoidable. So by maintaining distance, they can place all the blame on the USA and retain popularity and power.

Again, if given the keys to the entire drone operation, does anyone think Pakistan would halt the operations, or do anything different? I doubt it. And further, if the GOP is running the show, would Pakistanis support them? Or condemn them?

Now it will be interesting to know the response. Although i have absolutely no expectation of anything happening.

What kinda response were you expecting? The only thing Pakistan can do is to kick the U.S. ambassador and all those CIA spooks out of the country! Why are the latter allowed to operate with impunity in the AFPAK area? These are the guys who are giving much of the intel to the CIA for conducting those drone attacks. It's no use bellyaching if you can't pack them off!
