I am sure that Agni 5 is not a 5000 km missile but a 8000km+ missile as reported by the Chinese experts, this was done so that there is no alarms raised in Europe & elsewhere, GOI emphasized on projecting it as a China killer missile rather than a true ICBM. We are working on A-6 which will be 10000km+ missile, so though DRDO is currently saying that they are not working on anything like ICBM but the fact is that they indeed are.

Frankly achieving the Roman definition in just the immediate neighborhood would be a good beginning. We have BDesh cheeking us, the Sri Lankans wiping out their minorities without anybody doing anything about it, the Burmese driving out theirs, the Nepalis allowing the Chinese to stroll around the place with a proprietorial air, the Pakistani mint not sure whether it should print Pakistani currency or Indian, and printing equal quantities of both - no wonder even that fluffy blonde Shashi Tharoor writes about Pax Indica.
