Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has been facing some issues in signing into its official Facebook account, for which it has asked the social media website to help out with. Interestingly, DRDO decided to put out the problem on social media website Twitter, which resulted in a lot of criticism from others. While many questioned the competence of a research organisation for defence services, many of them provided solutions for the same- some funny and some serious.

Someone tweeted, “DRDO realises just how sorry a figure it cuts? Having tea & playing cards all day? Shame.” Meanwhile, a few had interesting solutions for the same, like: “Try a Neembu Mirchi Mala … might work.” and “Pl try forgot the password and recover it.” Some of the people got angry at DRDO and tweeted, “DRDO, the custodians of national military research & development secrets. Look at how they advertise themselves. Who hires such morons?” Others suggested, “..instead of playing candy crush saga on facebook, concentrate on India’s defence. At least think abt our soldiers at the border.” There were some who posed intriguing questions, like: “While 46% of NASA scientists are Indians, our top defence research agency is asking for help from FB on twitter.”

DRDO from its official Twitter handle had tweeted, “@facebook we are contacting u from Indian @DRDO_India our official page is not opening— DRDO (@DRDO_India) ” and “@facebook the URL for the same is http://t.co/tYDRzkmx4u. plz, revert asap as this is official page (sign in problem)— DRDO (@DRDO_India) January 20, 2017.”

DRDO has a problem with Facebook and is seeking answers on Twitter
It seems those handling social media for DRDO are expecting Mark Zuckerberg himself to come up with a solution from California.

As expected, those who have better research and development on social media where quick to pounce on the post.
India’s top military research and development agency has a problem. And trust the agency which can successfully test fire a guided Pinaka and Agni 5 missile to be able to find a solution.

Unable to open their Facebook account, the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) asked the social network on Twitter — yeah, you read that right — how to get over their “sign in problem”. With slight hints at the panic within the organisation, the official Twitter handle, @DRDO_India, tweeted: “@facebook we are contacting u from Indian @DRDO_India our official page is not opening.” Soon after came a follow up tweet: “@facebook the url for the same is http://www.facebook.com/DPIDRDO/ … plz revert asap as this is official page (sign in problem)”

@kiduva had a more nationalistic line

. @DRDO_India instead of playing candy crush saga on facebook, concentrate on india's defence. Atleast think abt our solders at the border

Anyway, the two tweets, don’t really show up well on the DRDO. Also, there has to be someone in India’s top defence research agency who has heard about the ‘Forgot Password’ option.

DRDO’s official Facebook page showed no apparent signs of hacking, leading people to believe that it could be something as simple as the manager of the page forgetting the password.

Besides people pointing out that it was unusual for DRDO to be trying to contact Facebook via Twitter, there were other humorous takes, such as one Twitter user asking if people would tweet to Bill Gates if they forget their Windows password.
