KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar has been listed among the ten outstanding Asian women leaders.
The report published in a newspaper, Asian Wall Street Journal said that SBP Governor, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar was the first woman Governor of Pakistans Central Bank placed in a better position for tackling the existing financial crisis in the country.
The newspaper further said that the wide and varied experience of Dr. Shamshad Akhtar could be gauged from this fact that she had worked with the World Bank and Asian Development Bank in the capacity of an expert on economy.
