Dr Imran Rasul resigns from PM's Economic Advisory Council 'with a heavy heart'

You are misequating. Try and speak against homosexual marriage in a public post in the UK.
Try and cover your forearms as a Muslim woman employed in the NHS. Even in the UK there are limits. Even in the UK there is discrimination.....it just so happens to be on different values than in Pakistan....why should Pakistan adopt the same values as the UK? Should Pakistan change her Constitution and became more like the UK’s? Give me some objective reasons. Your opinion is not a reason why the majority of Pakistanis should change their opinion and why the State of Pakistan should change her opinion.

And I am not talking about his appointment to EAC. This issue is much broader than this one appointment. I personally would not have a problem with an Ahamdi getting such a post provided it was legal for him to do so. But I would have an issue with someone getting the post irrespective of his religious creed, if he maligned the Constitution of Pakistan and did not give obedience to it.

Can you imagine if I as a Muslim were offered the position of being Prime Minister but I said I consider my Sovereign to be Allah, the Sustainer of the Worlds and not the Monarch and therefore I cannot take the Oath of Allegince. Do you think I would get the post? Could I claim discrimination on account of religious creed?
A wise man would come and tell me, Oh Foolish young Muslim man, what in the hell are you trying to become Prime Minister in a country where you must consider the Monarch sovereign.
The same can be said if I wanted to be a MP. If I felt as a Muslim I could not take the oath then I should not try to become a MP and not bloody start claiming religious discrimination.

Logic and sound comparative analysis just doesn't click with 'them'.

I'm not. You're blind the real problem here. A man was acquitted of his job because of his religion, do you not see anything wrong in that? Are you so arrogant that you think it's okay for something like this to happen?

I told you that his appointment was retracted due to randi rona crap he had posted on his tweet on Pakistan's constitution and views that he may have shared with others.

No it wasn't. People, like Khadim Rizvi had a problem with his personal believes and therefor protested his appointment.

. .
His appointment issue was raised in the Senate you idiot!
I don't have to result to abusive words, like you to get my point across.

There have been mass condemnation of Atif Mian being appointed to the EAC and it was suggested to Imran to remove it and hence he was.

Sometimes thick skinned people need to be communicated in the language that gets across to them. Saves from repeating!

Atif's red tape (security clearence) wasn't done. If it had been done, he wouldn't have been offered the role in the first place.

I never understood Imran khan this message until now :D. KEEP IT COMING.

. .
I feel what you say mate. I am angry myself but he is in power. He has to face the idiots. He is leading a weak coalition with million enemies. Do you want him to trip? We have to support IK. And hope over time he prevails over the corrupt and dark forces. It is easy for us but he has to navigate a path through a country full of ignorants. Think of it sas tactical retreat for the overall benefit.

lets put someone else in Imran shoes...would you still say the same, or bik gya kha gya dar gya..paisy mil gye hoon gye etc etc :)

.
Well, it is fact Imran is using his personal relation to bring these people onboard ...but our jahil political and religious parties creating threats for them ....its fvcking shame. Don't they know during Khulfa rashdeen era, rulers used to buy weapon from Jew tribes.
Shah G there was nothing on ground it's only on twitter plus Govt failed to give counter narrative why they hiring Mian? Plus could not resist clergy. Pti cave in with in no time again I believe sooner or later we need Mian and other two back in loop.it didn't go well all around the world gave bad spot on khan s credibility Beleive or not every one has high hopes on him that he may may turn around things I hope he will pull things back and restore his reputation finger crossed.

He need to take firm decision and stand for it. It's matter of nation reputation and dying economy.

Several issues I keep seeing in these two threads about this topic:

1. After one disagreement, so many supposed 'PTI supporters' begin abusing IK, his wife, PTI, ordinary Pakistanis, and the Pakistan government.

Calm down please and let's deal with the real issues here. Don't be emotional. If your support for IK is that shallow, maybe its better you don't support him to begin with.

2. The main issue seems to be tweets which Atif Mian gave and articles in which he condemned Pakistan's constitution, blasphemy laws, and religious laws.

Ahmadiyya political leadership views the status of Non-Muslim as unacceptable and is lobbying foreign governments to pressure Pakistan on this issue. Ahmadiyya leaders in the West, Israel, and elsewhere are directly dealing with anti-Pakistan politicians and leaders (Modi, Netanyahu, EU & US liberals, etc.) for this purpose.

This issue is not merely about the religion of Atif Mian, but his political activities and support for the official Ahmadiyya stance.

The real issue is the so-called 'caliph' of Ahmadiyyas.
3. There is no proof that TLP Khadim Rizvi and other mullas are responsible for the change of stance of PTI. I am seeing this as a distraction from the main point, which is Atif Mian directly rejecting Pakistan's constitution.

4. Quaid's Pakistan. Some, like Jemima, are invoking Quaid in this debate. Others are trying to link Allama Iqbal to Ahmadiyyas.

The man who was an ally of both Allama Iqbal and Quaid e Azam, Sir Zafarullah Khan (a Lahore Ahmadiyya) was an altogether different personality to Atif Mian and the current Ahmadiyya leadership.

Agree with U who ever bow in front of Mullah ends with tears like ZAB like Zia. Either he has to save dying Economy or appease this mullah brigade.

Iqbal was Ahmedi even his brother and his family r still Ahmedi. Invoking debate of Jinah means live and let live policy that's is essential for Pakistan as country and society.Jinah was agha khani by birth and his later years he converted into Shia Islam that's why mullah brigade used to call him kafere Azam. I believe today's pakistan Jinah as Shia or agha kahani has no place he was lucky when he started politics India was under British rule.
