Not insecurity just the truth, there is no international tourism industry yet. Only caters for business and government travellers right now, though we have the places but international tourism is not yet a priority sector. Maybe in the next 10 years or so.

Plus it's a Muslim nation, you'd not really like it here.

There are different type of tourist. I seen millions visit Iran where you will not even find the original coke let alone alcohol. There are another type of tourist who visit Thailand/India etc for what you know.

Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world, yet we can generate more than 50 billion US dollar from international tourism alone. I don't see why Bangladesh can't be a destination for holiday season.

It's because we like you, that I'm advising Indians not to come. Honestly there is nothing to see or do for indian tourists in Dhaka, you'd all be bored. Way better places to spend your money, honestly.

He's right, there isn't any tourism industry of international standard in Bangladesh yet. Though Cox's Bazar has the world's longest beach, it is certainly no Hawaii, or Maldives.

Dhaka's traffic and commuting is a nightmare.

Also, Cox's Bazar is packed with Muslim fundamentalists.
